The Wagan Tech SlimLine 1000 Watt Inverter is high output, compact, and slim; hence the reason it is in our Slimline family of power inverters. We have dubbed this line “Slimline” as all of the inverters are high performance but as slim and compact as possible. Featuring 3 US standard AC outlets, Power and fault LED Lights, USB Power Ports, Power switch and thermal cooling fans, the SlimLine 1000 Watt Inverter is ideal for your high power needs!
Taking cues from its big brother, the SlimLine 1000 Watt Inverter is small in size, but offers huge performance. 1000 Watts of TrueRated power, 3 AC receptacles (wall power outlet) as you’d find in your home, 2 USB Power Ports, thermal cooling fans, and a slew of safeties built in, the SlimLine 1000 Watt Inverter is exactly what you’ve been looking for!
In your vehicle, boat, motorcycle, RV, truck, Camper, tail-gating, camping, kid’s soccer games, or anywhere you need to turn DC (battery) power into AC (household) power is where the SlimLine 1000 Watt Inverter will shine! 1000 continuous watts means that you can run your appliance without worry of the SlimLine 1000 Watt Inverter letting you down like lesser inverters. Blender, TV, gaming systems, refrigerator, microwave, computer, cooking appliances, and other household electronics are all able to be powered!

TrueRated Power
TrueRated Power is Wagan Tech’s coined term for truth in advertising and performance. Simply put, our TrueRated inverters are tested at full load (the number printed on the inverter) and will sustain that load continuously for 24 hours.
For example, the SlimLine 500 Watt Inverter will run for 24 hours straight with a 500 Watt load. Our competitors claim "continuous wattage" when in fact most are only rated at 20 minutes of continuous wattage. After 20 minutes, the competitors output wattage will drop down by as much as 25% of their claimed wattage (in a 500 watt inverter, that can be a 125 watt loss!).
Wagan SlimLine 1000W 12V AC Power Inverter Specifications
Ordered just the inverter and one battery. My goal was to power the house during occasional power outages that the TVA likes to use to manage anomalies. I do NOT have solar. I have a 50 amp generator inlet box on the outside of the house, so I ordered a cable to go from the 30 amp twist lock to the 50 amp twist lock. After charging the battery and switching the manual interlock, the house did indeed come to life. I was able to use one of the medium size burners on the induction cooktop on high. One big question I had, and had gotten conflicting answers on, was whether I could plug my small generator into the 120 V charging inlet, and get 240 V out to the house at the same time. It worked! That way if the outage should last for an extended time, I would be able to keep the battery charged with the generator, while still getting some power to the house. You could see on the panel that 1800 watts were going in, almost 4000 watts were going out. Over time, I would expect that as long as my average draw was 1800 watts or less, I would have power as long as I could keep the generator gassed. I was NOT able to run my 2-1/2 ton central air, but honestly I was not expecting to be able to. Even on utility power the lights noticeably dim when the unit kicks on. Possiblly a soft start might do the trick. So for me, it solved the problem I was concerned with. One nice bonus is that I plugged the tankless water into one of the front AC plugs. That way the water heater won’t shut off in the middle of a shower if the power blips. When that happens the water goes cold really fast and makes for an exciting day.

Outstanding, we're thrilled you're happy with your purchase and it was our pleasure to serve you. Thank you!
Started up just fine, and output was stable. Not a big fan of the screws that hold on the side cover, but a great deal for the money to me. My testing so far is only about 40 min with an intermittent 400 watt load. I changed the oil, and the next chance I get I will run it some more. The unit does not take much oil, so I will change the oil often. SUPER QUIET compared to my old gas generator. I love that! I was going to give the unit a 4, but I like how quiet it is more than care about the screws.
Thanks so much for your honest feedback. If there is anything we can ever do to be of service, please let us know!
