Power inverters are electronic devices that convert DC (direct current) power from a battery or other power source into AC (alternating current) power that can be used to power household appliances, tools, and other electronic devices.
In other words, an inverter takes the low-voltage DC power produced by a battery or solar panel and converts it into the higher-voltage AC power that most appliances and electronic devices use. Inverters are commonly used in off-grid solar power systems, RVs, boats, and other situations where AC power is needed but a grid connection is not available.
Inverters come in a variety of sizes and capacities, ranging from small portable models that can power a laptop or small appliance to large, high-capacity models that can power an entire home or business. Some inverters are designed to be permanently installed, while others are portable and can be moved from place to place.
In addition to converting DC to AC power, many inverters also include additional features such as battery monitoring, surge protection, and automatic shut-off to prevent damage to the battery or other components.
These inverters produce a square wave or stepped waveform output that is less pure than a pure sine wave inverter. They are less expensive and can power most household appliances but may not be suitable for sensitive electronics.
This type of inverter produces a clean and smooth sine wave output that is similar to the AC power from the grid. They are ideal for sensitive electronic devices, such as laptops, TVs, and medical equipment.
A pure sine inverter charger converts DC power into pure AC power while also including a built-in battery charger that can charge batteries from an AC power source or from a solar panel system. These inverters are often used in off-grid or backup power systems where reliable and clean power is necessary. They can power sensitive electronic devices such as computers, medical equipment, and other devices that require a clean and stable AC power source.
Off-grid inverters are used in remote locations where there is no access to the grid's AC power. They convert DC power from batteries or solar panels into AC power to power appliances and devices.
A rack mount inverter is designed to be mounted on a standard server rack, which is commonly used in data centers and other IT applications. They may also be used in homes to switch from the local electric utility to backup batteries when city power fails. These inverters are typically built with a slim, compact form that allows them to be neatly mounted alongside other equipment. These inverters can be connected to a battery bank, which can be charged from an AC power source or from a renewable energy system such as solar panels.
The type of power inverter you choose will depend on your specific needs and the devices you intend to power.
Received what I ordered and the customer service at outbound power is 5 star. Great price and great communications. Thank you.

Using the Anker F2600 to rebuild a shed powering a miter saw and table saw. Purchased at Outbound Power at a great price. It powers a string of LED lights, charges batteries and anything I have plugged into the F2600. I take it inside at night, it’s getting cold here in CT at night. I would appreciate a wider set of wheels as an option from Anker. I am very happy with my purchase. I’m glad it has a stow away handle.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s awesome to hear how the Anker Solix F2600 is powering your shed rebuild and handling everything from saws to LED lights—sounds like it's doing a fantastic job! We’re thrilled you found it at a great price with us. I hear you on the wider wheels suggestion; that would definitely make moving it around a bit easier, especially with the cold setting in. We’ll pass that feedback along! If you need anything else, feel free to reach out. Stay warm in CT, and happy building!

I've been using this for my husband's bipap machine when camping. Did not have any issues with this portal battery.
Thank you for sharing your experience! I’m so glad to hear that the Anker 757 PowerHouse SOLIX F1200 has been reliable for your husband’s bipap machine during camping trips. It’s great when a portable battery performs without a hitch in such an important situation. If you ever need assistance or have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. Thanks again for your feedback, and happy camping!
We have really been impressed with our DPUs and their ability to power our whole home during outages. To give you some context-we have 2x DPUs with 3 batteries each for a total of 36kW. Because of the location of our main service panel, we simply did not have the flexibility to get a SMHP2. Our basement is finished, our 200 Amp main panel is in the corner of our laundry room of all places. Right next to the dryer and washer (you can see the dryer in the pic below). It is crazy to me why they would place everything in that corner of the house when it was built back in 1993 but they did. I was quoted thousands of dollars to relocate my service panel and almost as much to install the SMHP2 and they would need to tear up some of finished basement walls. That was a no-go.
So we found some excellent sales with Outbound Power and had our DPUs in a couple of weeks. We went with a simplified set up using the 50 Amp Hub, interlock switch, a double throw switch and 50-amp inlet. We run a 50-amp cable from the hub to the inlet. My wife did not want me to mount the hub on the wall, so I built a little stand for it. It works like a charm.
Trying to find the limits of our set up this past weekend, I connected the DPUs and ran the entire panel, no managing loads at all. At one time, we had the heat on upstairs and downstairs (two 2-ton heat pumps), the oven, washer and dryer were used, lights, water heater came on as people showered, TVs, etc, etc, etc. Basically, we had a full load of house totaling 10kW+ (pic below) and the DPUs did not miss a beat. This tells me that for extended periods of outage and managing loads, we can definitely go a day+ using these if need be. This gives us some great flexibility for power back up between using our dual fuel generator and DPUs.
My plan for extended outages is to use my external inlet for my generator during the day and in the evening shut it down to secure it. Then switch to the DPUs inside for overnight to avoid worrying about a running generator. Our goal is to get 4 more batteries and get to 60kW. I LOVE THESE!!!
Hi Rafael, I can't thank you enough for taking the time to share your impressive experience with your Delta Pro Ultra system. Your detailed review is incredibly valuable, not just for us, but for other customers considering a similar setup.
I am delighted to learn the dual DPU configuration has exceeded your expectations and provided a reliable home backup solution. Your clever approach to working around the challenges of your home's layout demonstrates the flexibility of the products, and I'm glad you found a setup that works perfectly for your needs.
Your stress test of the system is particularly impressive. Running your entire home, including heat pumps and appliances simultaneously, showcases the DPU's robust performance. It's great to know that you feel confident in your ability to power your home during outages.
I love your creative solution for housing the 50A Hub, and your strategic plan for using both the DPUs and your dual fuel generator for extended outages is smart and practical.
Your goal to expand is exciting, and we look forward to supporting you in that upgrade when you're ready.
Thank you again for your helpful and enthusiastic review and for being part of the EcoFlow community. We're honored to play a role in providing you with energy independence and peace of mind.
