ACOPower Mono Solar RV Kits give you everything needed to put quiet, fuel-free charging on the roof of a motorhome, travel trailer, van or boat. Each kit pairs ACOPower 100W monocrystalline panels with an MPPT charge controller sized for the array, from two panels on a 30A controller up to eight panels on a 60A controller, plus aluminum Z-brackets and hardware for flat roof mounting.
Solar recharges your house batteries while you are parked or driving, so you can run lights, fans, a fridge and electronics without hookups or a generator. With about 5 hours of good sun, a 200W kit can produce roughly 1,000 watt hours a day, and an 800W kit around 4,000 watt hours.
Each panel produces 100 watts at 17.48V and 5.71A, with an open circuit voltage of 22V. Anodized aluminum frames and tempered glass are built for years on a roof, with a 2400Pa wind rating.
The 2 and 3 panel kits use a 30A MPPT controller, the 4 and 5 panel kits a 40A, the 6 panel kit a 50A and the 8 panel kit a 60A. MPPT tracking gets more charge from the panels than PWM, especially in cold weather and when panels are wired in series.
The controllers charge in bulk, absorption and float stages to fill batteries fully without overcharging them. Profiles cover sealed, gel and flooded lead-acid batteries, and lithium batteries can be set up as well.
The controllers protect against reverse current, overcharging, short circuits and reversed polarity.
Each controller has an LCD and an RS485 port. ACOPower offers optional accessories for remote display and Bluetooth app monitoring.
Aluminum Z-brackets with nuts and bolts attach to the panel frames for a low-profile flat mount on an RV roof or any other flat surface.
Travel trailers. ACOPower suggests 200W to 400W for most trailers.
Class B vans. 300W to 600W fits most camper van roofs and daily loads.
Class C motorhomes. Larger roofs can take 600W to 800W.
Boats and cabins. The same kits work on any 12V or 24V battery bank with flat mounting space.
Versus a generator. Solar is silent, needs no fuel, and charges every sunny day. A generator is still useful for running air conditioning or during long cloudy stretches.
Versus PWM kits. PWM controllers cost less but waste panel voltage above battery voltage. MPPT makes better use of larger arrays.
Versus ACOPower RV Solar Systems. ACOPower's complete RV systems add batteries and an inverter. These kits are for RVs that already have a battery bank, or for buyers who want to choose their own.

Parallel keeps the array at 12V-panel voltage and is simple on a 12V battery. Series raises voltage, which reduces current and wire size. Stay within the controller's maximum PV voltage in cold weather.
