The EcoFlow PowerInsight Home Energy Manager Puts Your Home Energy Data and Controls on One 10-Inch Touchscreen

The EcoFlow PowerInsight Home Energy Manager is a 10-inch touchscreen that connects to the EcoFlow IoT cloud over Wi-Fi. It shows real-time energy data from your EcoFlow system, lets you switch AC ports, DC ports and circuits on or off, and controls smart plugs, bulbs and thermostats through the Matter protocol.

It is for homeowners with a supported EcoFlow system, such as the DELTA Pro Ultra, DELTA Pro 3 or Smart Home Panel 2, who want their energy picture and home controls on the wall instead of only on a phone.

Real-Time and Historical Energy Data

The home page shows live energy data, and the dashboard breaks it down by day, month or year. You can see solar generation in Total savings, charging and discharging in Battery, and consumption in Home and Grid.

Control Your System From the Wall

Turn AC ports, DC ports or circuits on and off from the screen. The first widget shows the operating mode your system runs, such as TOU mode, Self-powered or Charging, and a tap switches modes. Which widgets appear depends on the system you connect.

Matter Smart Home Control

PowerInsight acts as the central gateway for Matter devices in the EcoFlow system. Add Matter thermostats, smart plugs and smart bulbs, and they appear in the device list next to your energy data. It also works with Shelly smart plugs, Ecobee and Google Nest thermostats, and Shelly and Tibber Pulse smart meters.

Built-In Room Sensors

A temperature and humidity sensor reads the room, and EcoFlow says PowerInsight can auto-adjust the temperature to a more appropriate level with it. An ambient light sensor adjusts screen brightness, and a proximity sensor wakes the screen when you come within 20 in. (0.5 m).

Automations in One Tap

Automations you build in the EcoFlow app sync to PowerInsight automatically. Tap an automation on the screen to run it.

Wall Mount, Stand or Hand

Mount it on the included wall bracket, set it on a tablet stand (sold separately) or hold it in your hand. A built-in battery gives about 3 hours of continuous operation, and the device weighs about 620 g (1.4 lbs).

How It Compares to Common Alternatives

Versus the EcoFlow app alone. The app is where you add devices and build automations. PowerInsight shows the same system on a 10-inch wall screen, runs automations with a tap and acts as the Matter gateway.

Versus a separate smart home hub. PowerInsight brings Matter devices and your EcoFlow energy data together on one screen.

Is This Home Energy Manager the Right Fit

• Supported system. Energy data and controls need a supported EcoFlow system. Devices PowerInsight doesn't support won't appear on it.
• Power. It runs from USB-C. You need a USB-C charger of at least 10W, which is not included.
• Wi-Fi. It connects to the internet on 2.4G or 5G Wi-Fi. Matter devices need a 2.4G local network, the same one your phone uses.
• Mounting. The wall bracket mounts in landscape orientation only, and EcoFlow recommends mounting below 59 in. (1.5 m). A level is not included.

Which EcoFlow Products Does It Support?

EcoFlow lists the DELTA Pro Ultra, DELTA Pro 3, Smart Home Panel 2, Smart Plug and PowerPulse Residential EV Charger, along with PowerOcean systems, PowerHeat, PowerGlow and the Power Kits 5kVA 48V system.

Does It Have a Battery?

Yes. The built-in battery provides about 3 hours of battery life during continuous operation. Dimming the screen extends it.

Is a Charger Included?

No. The box includes a 6.6 ft USB-C to USB-C power cable, but you need a USB-C charger of at least 10W.

How Long Is the Software Supported?

EcoFlow lists a 5-year software support period. Updates can install automatically between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m.
