The AIMS Power 555 Watt Monocrystalline Solar Panels With Aluminum Frame Deliver High Output Solar for Residential, Commercial and Industrial Arrays

The AIMS Power 555 Watt Monocrystalline Solar Panels With Aluminum Frame are built for users who demand dependable, high output solar performance across residential, commercial and industrial applications. Each panel produces 555 watts from 144 monocrystalline cells, with tempered glass and a reinforced surface designed to withstand harsh weather. AIMS Power notes the panel is approved by the California Energy Commission and listed on its Solar Equipment List. A pre-drilled aluminum frame, bypass diode and 12 inch MC4 compatible cables simplify installation, whether you are a do-it-yourselfer building an off-grid system or an installer designing a large array. The panels are available in multi-panel packs.

AIMS Power 555 Watt Monocrystalline Solar Panels Features

High Efficiency Power Harvesting

Monocrystalline cells with 22% cell efficiency and 21.5% module efficiency, combined with textured glass for improved light transmission, deliver 555 watts per panel with a 0 to 3 watt positive tolerance.

Built for Snow, Wind and Hail

A 3.2 mm tempered glass front and reinforced construction are rated for 6000Pa snow loads, 3600Pa wind loads and hail up to 45 mm at 30.7 meters per second. The panels operate from -40°C to +85°C.

Shade Tolerant Performance

An integrated 10 amp bypass diode reduces power loss caused by partial shading.

Easy Mounting and Connection

Pre-drilled holes on the aluminum frame allow faster, more secure mounting, and each panel includes 12 inch cables with male and female MC4 compatible connectors.

California Energy Commission Approved

AIMS Power states the PV555MONO is approved by the California Energy Commission and appears on its Solar Equipment List.

Long-Term Output Warranty

AIMS Power lists output warranties of 91.2% at 12 years and 80.6% at 25 years.

Real-World Applications

Residential solar. Build a high output home array for grid-tied, backup or off-grid systems.

Commercial and industrial arrays. Use multi-panel packs for larger installations.

Off-grid power. Pair with a charge controller or hybrid inverter and battery bank.

Backup power. AIMS Power notes reliable high watt output for backup or off-grid power, even in less than ideal weather.

How It Compares to Common Alternatives

Versus smaller wattage panels. A 555 watt panel produces more power per panel, reducing the number of panels, mounting points and connections for a given array size.

Versus flexible panels. Rigid framed panels with tempered glass are suited to permanent, high output installations.

Versus the AIMS Power 330 watt panels. AIMS Power also offers 330 watt monocrystalline panels in multi-packs for smaller arrays.

Is This Solar Panel Pack the Right Fit

  • Size and weight. Each panel measures 89.75" x 44.75" x 1.37" and weighs 60 pounds. Plan for appropriate racking, handling and freight delivery.
  • Charge controller or inverter. Size your equipment for the panel's 50.02 volt open circuit voltage and 14.07 amp short circuit current, including series string voltage.
  • Pack size. Confirm the pack quantity you select before ordering.
  • Array sizing. Estimate daily energy use and local sun hours to determine how many panels you need.

This may be a good fit if

  • You are building a large residential, commercial or industrial array
  • You want high wattage panels to reduce panel count
  • You need panels rated for snow, wind and hail
  • You want California Energy Commission listed panels
