The AIMS Power Single Pole Mount Rack for Heavy Duty Solar Panels holds up to six large PV panels, up to 2.0 kW, on a single structural grade steel pole. Built from corrosion resistant galvanized steel with aluminum clamps and HD rails plus stainless steel hooks and hardware, it is designed for residential, farm, commercial and open area installations. The rack installs quickly with splicing kits, easy to use clamps and universal HD sliding rails, adjusts to four tilt angles with a U bolt and pitman arm, and is rated for wind speeds up to 102 mph. Everything needed for installation is included except the concrete foundation that anchors the pole.
The rack holds up to six large panels of 265 watts or larger, up to 2.0 kW. AIMS Power notes it can hold more panels depending on panel size, since the rails and pole are 126" long. It works with 60, 72 and 96 cell panels from all brands in portrait orientation.
Beams and pole conform to ASTM A36 and are made from galvanized steel. Rails use 6000 series aluminum, and stainless steel hardware resists rust and corrosion.
The rack adjusts to 10°, 20°, 30° or 40°, and pre-drilled holes allow seasonal elevation changes. A U bolt and pitman arm make angle changes straightforward.
The system is rated for wind speeds up to 102 mph and a standard snow load of 80 PSF, depending on the characteristics of the snow.
The modular design uses special splicing kits, convenient clamps and universal HD sliding rails. Little measuring is needed, and no drilling is required.
AIMS Power lists certifications including TUV, ASCE/SEI 7-05 and 7-10, IBC 2006, the 2007 California Administrative Code, AS NZS 1170, Euro Code 8, DIN 1055 and EN 1991-1-3 and 1-4 for snow and wind loads.
Residential solar. Raise an array above the ground on a single pole in the yard.
Farms. Install panels in open fields with plenty of sun exposure.
Commercial sites. Use a certified, heavy duty structure for small commercial arrays.
Open areas. Place solar where sun exposure is best, away from buildings and trees.
Versus ground racks. A single pole raises panels higher off the ground and allows four tilt angles. AIMS Power also offers a six-panel aluminum ground mount rack with mounting feet and a 20 degree maximum pitch.
Versus roof mounting. A pole mount avoids roof penetrations and lets you place panels for the best sun.
Versus small side pole mounts. AIMS Power side pole mounts hold one or two panels up to 170 watts. This rack is built for six large panels.
