The ALP Generator offers a 60-hour run time on a 20 lb. propane tank. Similar to what you see on a barbecue, if you're not getting 60 hours of use, please verify that your tank has a full 20 pounds of propane.
Generally, you can use the same oil you use in your car. Alternatively, a blended or conventional motor oil, such as 10W-30 or 10W-40 weight is recommended. Blended or standard motor oil tends to provide better protection than full synthetic oil for generator parts when the generator is not used for a long period of time. This also helps prevent corrosion and the motor at start-up.
The generator comes with a hose to attach a 1-pound propane tank which allows you to run the generator for approximately 3 hours. The largest size tank it can accept is a 20-pound propane tank which can be attached using one of the ALP braided propane hoses.
