The DuroMax XP13000EH Dual Fuel Portable Generator is built to keep your whole home running during a storm or power outage. Its 500cc DuroMax OHV engine produces 10,500 running watts and 13,000 peak watts on gasoline, or 10,000 running and 12,500 peak watts on propane.
The XP13000EH is part of the DuroMax E/EH series of open-frame generators. It pairs push button electric start with a transfer switch-ready 50A outlet, an all-metal frame and power panel and 100% copper windings, all covered by a 3-year DuroMax warranty.
With 10,500 running watts and 87.5 amps at 120V, the XP13000EH has the capacity to run many home essentials at once, including some central air conditioners. The 120/240V 14-50R outlet connects to a transfer switch or interlock for whole home backup.
Run on gasoline or propane and switch between them as fuel availability changes. Propane stores for long periods without going stale. DuroMax suggests a 40 lb propane tank or larger.
The panel includes two 5-20R GFCI household outlets, an L5-30R 120V twist-lock, an L14-30R 120/240V twist-lock, a 14-50R 50A outlet and a 12V automotive outlet. A digital meter displays voltage, frequency and run hours, and a battery switch helps prevent battery drain in storage.
The included 12V battery powers push button starting, with a recoil starter as a backup. No-load low idle lowers engine speed when demand drops to save fuel and reduce noise.
The 8.3-gallon fuel tank with a fuel gauge provides about 17 hours at 25% load and 8 hours at 50% load on gasoline. On propane, DuroMax rates about 13 hours at 25% load and 6 hours at 50% load.
An all-metal frame and power panel, 100% copper windings, an automatic voltage regulator, a cast iron cylinder sleeve and 10-inch metal-hub wheels are built for years of use. The generator weighs 234 lbs dry.
Whole home backup. Connected through a transfer switch or interlock, power lights, refrigerators, well pumps, sump pumps, furnaces and in many homes, air conditioning.
Extended outages. Dual fuel lets you switch to stored propane when gasoline is hard to find after a storm.
Job sites. Run multiple power tools, compressors and lights at once from the 120V and 240V outlets.
RVs. The L5-30R and 14-50R outlets connect to 30A and 50A RV service with the right cord or adapter.
Versus the DuroMax XP13000HX. The HX model has the same output and adds four 5-20R outlets instead of two and a 5-year warranty instead of 3 years.
Versus home standby generators. The XP13000EH costs far less and needs no permanent installation, but it must be set up and fueled when the power goes out.
Versus smaller portable generators. It weighs more, but 10,500 running watts covers far more of your home at once.
This may be a good fit if
It can run many central air conditioners along with other essentials, depending on the unit's size and starting load. Check your air conditioner's starting and running watts before you buy.
Use the 14-50R or L14-30R outlet with a matching generator cord, a power inlet box and a transfer switch or interlock installed by a licensed electrician.
About 8 hours at 50% load on a full 8.3-gallon tank of gasoline. Propane runtime depends on your tank size.
DuroMax covers the XP13000EH with a 3-year parts and technical service warranty, backed by USA-based support and service centers nationwide.
The DuroMax XP13000EH gives you 13,000 peak watts, dual fuel flexibility and a transfer switch-ready 50A outlet in a rugged all-metal package. At Outbound Power, we can help you plan a backup setup for your home. If you have questions, our team is happy to help.
