The DuroStar DS13000MXT Tri-Fuel Portable Generator keeps your whole home running during storms and outages while protecting your family with CO Alert. Its 500cc engine produces 10,500 running and 13,000 peak watts on gasoline, 10,000 running and 12,500 peak watts on propane and 9,000 running and 11,250 peak watts on natural gas.
DuroStar is DuroMax's value line. The DS13000MXT adds push button and remote start, a fuel selection knob, a transfer switch-ready 50A outlet and an included battery tender, all backed by a 3-year warranty.

Run on gasoline, propane or natural gas and select fuel with the panel knob. A 25-foot, 1/2-inch natural gas hose and a propane regulator are included. Natural gas operation requires 6.0 to 9.0 inches of water column and up to 225,000 BTU at full load.
With 87.5 amps at 120V on gasoline, it has the capacity for refrigerators, pumps, lights and in many homes, air conditioning. The 14-50R outlet connects to a transfer switch or interlock.
DuroStar's CO Alert shuts the generator down automatically when harmful carbon monoxide levels are detected around the unit.
Start with the included remote control or the push button, with a recoil starter as a backup. The included battery tender keeps the battery charged in storage.
Two 5-20R GFCI household outlets, an L14-30R 30A twist-lock and a 14-50R 50A outlet cover household, RV and transfer switch connections. A digital meter shows voltage, frequency and run hours.
A heavy-duty all-metal frame and power panel and no-flat tires are built to handle severe weather and years of use. The 8.3-gallon tank delivers about 8.5 hours at 50% load on gasoline.
Home backup on natural gas. Connected to a gas line, run through long outages without refueling.
Whole home backup. Through a transfer switch or interlock, run most household circuits.
Rural properties. Use propane where natural gas is not available.
Job sites and RVs. Run tools on gasoline, and connect to 50A RV service.
Versus the DuroStar DS13000MX. The MX has the same gasoline and propane output without natural gas operation or the battery tender.
Versus the DuroMax XP13000HXT. The XP13000HXT adds four 5-20R outlets, an L5-30R and a 5-year warranty.
Versus home standby generators. It costs far less, can still run on natural gas and moves where you need it, but it is not permanently installed.
This may be a good fit if
Connected to a gas line with adequate pressure, it can run as long as fuel is supplied, with regular oil changes and maintenance.
DuroStar rates about 13 hours at 25% load and 6.5 hours at 50% load. Runtime depends on your tank size.
Yes. A remote control is included, along with push button and recoil start.
DuroStar covers the DS13000MXT with a 3-year parts and technical service warranty, supported by DuroMax's USA-based team.
The DuroStar DS13000MXT combines 13,000 peak watts, three fuels, CO Alert and remote start in an all-metal generator. At Outbound Power, we can help you plan a backup setup for your home. If you have questions, our team is happy to help.
