How It Works
The Smart Home Panel 2 is the center of the whole-home backup system. It is complete with internal auto-switchover for instant backup. Is the EcoFlow Dual Fuel Smart Generator 4000 compatible with DELTA Pro Ultra?
No, as of December 2024, it is not compatible with the Dual Fuel Smart Generator 4000. There is rumor that EcoFlow may provide an adapter to allow this connection to work, but as of now, it does not.
I am building an off-grid solution with DELTA Pro Ultra and Smart Home Panel 2. I need to update the Smart Home Panel 2 firmware but I am receiving an error. How do I correct this?
A grid connection is necessary for the Smart Home Panel 2 to remain operational during the firmware upgrade process due to the temporary disconnection of the battery.
You can try simulating a grid power scenario using the DELTA Pro Ultra. Here’s how can to do it:
Prepare a DIY cable for the AC output socket (120V/240V, 30A) as it comes with 2 live wires. Strip the insulation from the cable and connect the two live wires from the cable to the main breaker in Smart Home Panel 2 (the other side needs plugged into this socket).
Unplug the DELTA Pro Ultra from Smart Home Panel 2, then turn on the Delta Pro Ultra and activate its AC output.
The Smart Home Panel 2 will recognize the AC output as grid power.
Start the firmware upgrade for Smart Home Panel 2.
After the firmware update is complete, turn off the AC output on the DELTA Pro Ultra and reconnect it to Smart Home Panel 2.
For safety reasons, please ensure that a qualified professional carries out this process.
Can I charge DELTA Pro Ultra with a portable generator while it also charges my home?
This is possible only if the generator has a total harmonic distortion (THD) of 8% or less and it has a pure sine inverter. Otherwise, it might be possible, but damage may occur to the DELTA Pro Ultra batteries.

Purchased EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra Inverter/Battery Backup to hook up to my Home GenerLink backup solution installed by my local Electric Company. I purchased this cable to connect my Ecoflow DPU Ultra inverter with 5 batteries battery, to the 2nd port of my Ecoflow SHP-2, after purchasing a new inverter from Outbound power. (A new inverter, does not come with a dedicated SHP-2 cord) Works as intended with enough reach. Would buy again.

We received the Trail as a free gift of the EcoFlow Black Friday promotion. We live in an off-grid cabin, and have a couple small 1 watt fans for moving air - the Trail has been perfect for this use. It has almost as much juice as our much heavier and bulkier Jackery 300. We love it.
