It is ETL listed to UL 1741 standards and CSA 22.2 No 107.1. AIMS Power calls this line the powerhouse for backup and off-grid systems, and its most common use is emergency backup power for residences and businesses. With 8000 watts continuous and a 24,000 watt surge for 20 seconds through the direct connect terminal block, it can supply reliable electricity to an entire hunting cabin or off-grid vacation home, and its 48 volt DC input delivers a notable efficiency increase in large systems compared with 12 or 24 volt inverters.
Low frequency construction gives this inverter 3x surge capability. Using the direct connect terminal block, it can deliver 24,000 watts for up to 20 seconds, giving you the reserve to start well-sized motor loads, compressors and other equipment with high startup demand.
The inverter outputs 110/120 or 220/230/240 volts AC split phase. Output frequency is selectable between 50 and 60 Hz using the SW4 dip switch on the DC side of the unit, so it works with electrical systems in many countries.
