The Rich Solar MEGA 100 Watt ONYX Monocrystalline Solar Panel is a rigid 12V off-grid panel that delivers 100W from 33 monocrystalline cells with 9 busbars and up to 22.6% efficiency. It measures 39.0 x 21.3 x 1.2 inches and weighs 13.2 pounds, so one person can carry it up a ladder and mount it between roof fans and racks.

The panel is certified to UL 61730, IEC 61215 and CSA C22.2. Pre-attached 12 AWG leads, 3 ft each, with IP67 MC4 connectors and an IP67 junction box make it simple to wire to a charge controller or to other panels in series or parallel.

The 3.2 mm AR-coated tempered glass, TPT backsheet and anodized aluminum frame are designed to withstand salt, ammonia, sand, high temperatures and humidity. The panel is certified for 2,400 Pa wind loads and 5,400 Pa snow loads, and IP67 protection keeps it running rain or shine.

Do I Need an Inverter to Charge My Battery?

No. You only need a charge controller to charge a battery. An inverter is needed only if you want to run AC appliances, like a TV or refrigerator, from the battery.

Can the Panel Drain My Battery at Night?

Not when a solar charge controller is installed. The controller prevents reverse current from draining the battery.

Will It Work in Winter?

Yes. Cooler conditions can improve solar panel performance. Keep the panel clear of snow, dirt and shade, since buildup will stop it from generating power.

Does It Require Roof Penetration?

Not always. Panels can often be mounted on the roof using a sealant, or installed on the ground instead.
