View full detailsOur Solar Panel Racking & Mounting collection features premium solar panel mounts engineered to optimize positioning and secure your renewable energy investment against environmental challenges. These precision-crafted mounting solutions enhance solar panel performance by establishing the ideal angle and orientation for maximum sunlight exposure throughout changing seasons.
Each solar panel mount incorporates corrosion-resistant materials including anodized aluminum, stainless steel fasteners, and UV-stabilized components designed to withstand decades of outdoor exposure. The robust construction exceeds industry standards for wind and snow load ratings, protecting your solar array during extreme weather events while maintaining optimal positioning for consistent energy production.
Experience simplified installation with pre-drilled holes, comprehensive hardware kits, and clearly documented assembly instructions developed specifically for DIY enthusiasts. The modular design allows for easy expansion as your energy needs grow, eliminating the need for complete system redesign when adding panels.
From fixed roof mounts and ground-based systems to adjustable tilt brackets and pole mounts for off-grid applications, our solar panel mounts provide reliable mechanical support while facilitating proper airflow that prevents performance-reducing heat buildup. These thoughtfully engineered mounting solutions deliver the perfect foundation for solar systems of any size, ensuring decades of trouble-free renewable energy generation.
Solar panel racking and mounting hardware provides the structural support that keeps solar panels securely attached to a roof, the ground, a pole, an RV, or another suitable surface. Beyond simply holding the panels in place, the mounting system helps maintain the proper orientation, spacing, and tilt for effective solar production. A properly designed system must also withstand environmental forces such as wind, rain, vibration, and, where applicable, snow loads. Choosing suitable mounting hardware is therefore important for both energy production and the long-term safety of the solar installation.
The right mounting system depends on where the panels will be installed, how many panels you have, and whether you want a fixed or adjustable setup. Z-brackets and mounting feet are commonly used for smaller roof and RV installations, while ground racks are useful when roof space is limited or easier panel access is preferred. Pole mounts can be practical for smaller off-grid arrays, while adjustable tilt mounts let you change the panel angle as needed. Always verify that the mounting system supports your panel's dimensions, weight, frame design, and intended installation environment.
Not necessarily. Even mounting systems marketed as universal can have limits on panel dimensions, frame thickness, weight, mounting-hole locations, or the number of panels they can support. Two solar panels with the same wattage can have different physical dimensions, so wattage alone isn't enough to determine mounting compatibility. Before purchasing, compare your panel's specifications with the rack or bracket requirements, including dimensions, mounting points, weight capacity, and approved installation orientation.
There is no single mounting angle that works best everywhere. The ideal tilt depends on factors such as geographic location, season, roof pitch, panel orientation, shading, and whether your goal is maximum annual production or stronger output during a particular season. Fixed mounts offer a simple, low-maintenance solution, while adjustable mounts allow the angle to be changed throughout the year. Regardless of tilt, minimizing shading and providing good exposure to sunlight are major factors in overall solar production.
Neither option is automatically better for every installation. Fixed mounts are generally simpler, require less maintenance, and work well when panels can be installed at a suitable permanent angle. Adjustable or tilt mounts provide more flexibility by allowing you to reposition panels as the sun's seasonal angle changes, which may improve production in certain installations. They're especially useful for some RV, cabin, ground-mounted, and off-grid systems where adjusting the panels is practical and safe.
Yes. Solar panels are commonly installed on RVs, campers, trailers, and other mobile applications using Z-brackets, mounting feet, corner brackets, or adjustable mounting systems. Mobile installations require additional consideration because panels and mounting hardware are exposed to vibration and substantial wind forces while traveling. The roof structure must be able to support the installation, and mounting points and cable penetrations should be properly sealed against water intrusion. Always follow both the solar panel and RV manufacturer's installation requirements.
Yes. Ground-mounted solar can be an excellent alternative when a roof has limited space, excessive shading, poor orientation, or isn't suitable for supporting an array. Ground installations can also make panels easier to access for cleaning, inspection, snow removal, and maintenance. They may provide greater freedom to choose panel direction and tilt as well. However, the mounting structure and foundation must be appropriate for local soil conditions, wind loads, snow loads, drainage, and applicable building requirements.
It depends on the specific mounting system. Some brackets and mounts are designed for a single solar panel, while larger ground or pole-mounted racks may accommodate several panels in one structure. Panel count isn't the only consideration, though. The rack must also support the combined panel dimensions and weight and meet structural requirements for the installation site. Always stay within the mounting manufacturer's specified panel quantity, size, weight, and environmental load limits.
Start with the exact dimensions, weight, frame design, and mounting-hole specifications of your solar panels. Next, consider the installation surface, number of panels, desired orientation and tilt, available space, and whether you want a fixed or adjustable setup. For permanent outdoor installations, also consider corrosion resistance, local wind and snow loads, roof or foundation strength, drainage, grounding requirements, and applicable building and electrical codes. Checking these details beforehand can prevent compatibility problems and costly installation changes later.
Start with your exact solar panel model and where you plan to install it. You'll need to consider panel dimensions and weight, number of panels, mounting surface, desired orientation and tilt, available space, local environmental conditions, and whether the system needs to be adjustable. Avoid selecting a mount based solely on panel wattage, since panels with identical wattage ratings can have very different dimensions and mounting requirements. If you're unsure which mounting solution fits your panels and installation, contact us at 1-888-976-5443 or help@outboundpower.com and we'll help you find a compatible option.

Just received and have not had the opportunity to install. Well packaged and looks good.
Hi Kevin, thank you, looking forward to hearing how it works once you install it!
The Jackery was my first power station. I had a lot to learn and much research to do. Outbound Power was easy to work with, they answered the phone and helped with the delivery. We used it constantly on our first camping trip with it, powering our 12v cooler, charging phones and LED lights. No issues at all. Product is well built, durable and easy to understand. Might even get the solar panels later this year. I'd recommend.
Hi Gordon, thank you for sharing your experience! We're thrilled to hear the Jackery served you well on your camping trip. Enjoy exploring with your power station, and we'd be happy to help with the solar panels when you're ready. Safe travels!
