The Rich Solar ALPHA 2 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 Battery is a 12.8V lithium iron phosphate battery with 2,560Wh of nominal energy in a 20.9 x 8.1 x 8.5 inch case weighing 52.9 pounds. Up to four units connect in parallel, and the maintenance-free chemistry loses 5% or less of its charge per month in storage.
This listing offers six options. The ALPHA 2 Lite is the value model with 4,000+ cycles and 200A of continuous current. The standard ALPHA 2 adds a built-in heater, Bluetooth monitoring and 5,000+ cycles. The ALPHA 2 PRO adds a 7,000+ cycle rating and a 10-year warranty. The three battery bank options are Rich Solar's 400Ah, 600Ah and 800Ah kits, built from two, three or four ALPHA 2 Lite batteries with the cables to connect them.
The Lite is rated for 4,000+ cycles, the ALPHA 2 for 5,000+ and the PRO for 7,000+. The Lite uses Grade A+ LiFePO4 cells, and the ALPHA 2 and PRO use Grade A cells. That cycle life lowers the cost of ownership compared with batteries that need replacing every few years.
The ALPHA 2 Lite supports 200A of continuous charge and discharge current. The ALPHA 2 and PRO support 100A. Choose the Lite when a single battery needs to feed a large inverter, or parallel two heated batteries to double the available current.
LiFePO4 cells should not be charged below freezing. The ALPHA 2 and PRO have built-in heating that automatically warms the battery so it can charge safely in cold weather. All three models include low-temperature charging protection, which pauses charging in the cold and resumes it when conditions are safe.
The ALPHA 2 and PRO connect to the RICH SOLAR app to show real-time battery status on your phone. The Lite and the Lite-based battery banks do not include Bluetooth.
The battery management system protects against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short circuit and temperature extremes. Every model uses a UL94 V-0 flame-retardant housing. The Lite is rated IP65, and the ALPHA 2 and PRO are rated IP55.
Connect up to four batteries in parallel for 800Ah and 10,240Wh at 12V. The battery bank options come with 1 ft 2 AWG cables for wiring the Lite batteries together.

Vans and overland rigs. One 200Ah battery replaces two 100Ah batteries and saves wiring.
Versus lead-acid or AGM batteries. Lead-acid batteries are usually discharged to only about half their capacity and last a fraction as many cycles. The ALPHA 2 offers thousands of cycles and needs no watering or equalizing.
Lite versus ALPHA 2. The Lite has double the continuous current and a higher IP65 rating. The ALPHA 2 adds the heater and Bluetooth monitoring and 1,000 more rated cycles. Pick the ALPHA 2 if the battery will charge in freezing weather.
ALPHA 2 versus PRO. Both share the heater, Bluetooth, 100A current and UL 1973 certification. The PRO raises the rating to 7,000+ cycles and doubles the warranty to 10 years.

The ALPHA 2 and ALPHA 2 PRO have both. The ALPHA 2 Lite and the 400Ah, 600Ah and 800Ah battery banks do not, but they include low-temperature charging protection.
The 400Ah bank includes two ALPHA 2 Lite batteries and two 1 ft 2 AWG cables. The 600Ah bank includes three batteries and four cables. The 800Ah bank includes four batteries and six cables.
Rich Solar specifies parallel expansion of up to four units. For a higher-voltage system, choose a battery built for that voltage.
The ALPHA 2 Lite and ALPHA 2 carry a 5-year warranty, and the ALPHA 2 PRO carries a 10-year warranty. The battery banks carry the Lite's 5-year warranty.
