The AIMS Power 7000 Watt 48 Volt Industrial Grade Modified Sine Power Inverter converts 48 volt DC battery power into 240 volt AC, delivering 7000 watts continuous with up to 14,000 watts of surge for as long as 9 seconds. From recreation to industrial applications and off-grid home and solar systems, it supplies durable power for high-end equipment that requires 240 volts AC. AIMS Power notes it can run large pumps, compressors, power tools, multiple appliances, job sites and even a small house. Digital output with phase correction and PWM programming correct fluctuations in voltage or frequency caused by battery changes or sudden surges in power use.
The inverter supplies 7000 watts continuously and surges to 14,000 watts. Its surge duration is electronically controlled and permits up to 9 seconds while output is between 7000 and 14,000 watts, a longer than average surge time for starting motors and compressors. A buzzer sounds during that period until the inverter electronically shuts down.
Output is 240 volts AC, plus or minus 10%, at 50 or 60 Hz, with 29 continuous AC amps and 58 AC amps at startup. A universal 240 volt receptacle handles plug-in loads, and a direct connect terminal block is provided for full load applications.
The digitally outputted, phase corrected modified sine wave and PWM programming help hold voltage and frequency steady as battery voltage and loads change.
A DC input volt meter and a percent load usage LED bar show system status at a glance. A green power LED doubles as a self test light, and red LEDs indicate overload, over temperature and overload failure.
An aluminum case provides cooling, and a thermally controlled fan starts at 107°F. The inverter includes a pre-slotted mounting plate and is pre-wired for a remote on/off switch.
