The BLUETTI EP900 Home Battery Backup pairs the EP900 inverter with two to four B500 LiFePO4 battery packs and a home integration sub panel. It delivers up to 9,000W at 120V/240V split phase, stores 9,920Wh to 19,840Wh and captures up to 9,000W of solar, so your home stays powered during outages and runs on stored solar after sunset.
The EP900 is designed for homes that want to integrate battery storage with an existing or new solar system. It can also store grid power for time-of-use savings and export excess solar where your utility allows. The system is IP65 rated for indoor or outdoor installation, runs at 50 dB or less and carries a 10-year warranty.
The EP900 provides L1/L2/N/G split-phase output at 120V and 240V with 37.5A per leg. It runs 120V and 240V appliances such as washers, dryers, heaters and refrigerators from a single inverter. With two B500 batteries, off-grid output is 7,600W, and with three or more it reaches 9,000W.
Each B500 stores 4,960Wh (4,464Wh usable at 90% depth of discharge). Start with two batteries for 9,920Wh and expand to four for 19,840Wh as your needs grow.
Two MPPT channels (3,000W and 6,000W) accept 150V to 500V, with 240V to 500V recommended per array. Maximum solar input is 5kW with two B500, 7.5kW with three and 9kW with four. MPPT efficiency is rated at 99.9% and PV inversion efficiency at 97%.
Connect new panels directly, or integrate with an existing PV inverter so your batteries charge from solar while the grid is up. Note that existing PV inverters (except the IQ7 model) cannot charge the EP900 during a grid outage.
Charge from low-rate grid power or solar and discharge during peak hours (typically 4 pm to 10 pm). Where your utility allows, you can export surplus solar to the grid.
Anti-islanding, output overcurrent, short-circuit and over-temperature protection keep your home and the system safe. The PV side includes reverse polarity protection, insulation resistance detection and arc detection.
Set working modes, manage power use, view charging status and run OTA updates from the BLUETTI app over WiFi or Bluetooth.
