The BLUETTI EP900 PV Inverter Energy Meter Lets Your Existing Solar System Charge the EP900 Through AC Coupling
The BLUETTI EP900 PV Inverter Energy Meter is required if you want to connect an existing rooftop PV inverter to a BLUETTI EP900 energy storage system. The meter measures the power flowing from your solar inverter so solar energy can feed into the EP900's batteries through AC coupling.
The meter is an Acrel AGF-AE-D revenue-grade style meter for 120/240V split-phase service. It mounts on a 35mm DIN rail in a distribution box, communicates with the inverter over RS485 and comes with two split-core current transformers (CTs).

Enables AC Coupling With Existing Solar
Keep your existing PV inverter and add battery storage. While the grid is up, your batteries charge from solar, and the BLUETTI app shows how much energy your panels generate.
Split-Phase Measurement
The meter is rated for 120V line to neutral and 208/240V line to line at 60 Hz, supporting L1/L2/N/PE grids.
Two Split-Core CTs
The included current transformers clamp around the conductors without disconnecting them. Install them with the arrow pointing toward the grid.
Accurate, Fast Reporting
Accuracy is within ±0.5% to ±1% across 1% to 100% of CT current, with a response time of 1 second or less.
Compact DIN-Rail Mount
The meter measures about 54.1 x 87.8 x 52 mm, weighs 0.2 kg and uses a UL94V-0 PC enclosure. It draws only 1.2W.

Grid outages. Existing PV inverters (except the IQ7 model) cannot charge the EP900 during a grid outage.

Installation. The meter is permanently connected equipment that needs a disconnect and overcurrent protection rated 20A or less. A licensed electrician should install it.
