EcoFlow 5kWh Power Kits Features

3600W AC and Up to 1600W DC From One Hub

The Power Hub provides 3600W of AC main output and up to 1600W of DC main output. It combines two MPPT solar charge controllers, a battery charger with MPPT, a DC-DC step-down converter and an inverter-charger, so you install one unit instead of five.

Up to 4800W of Solar Plus Three Other Charging Methods

Three 1600W solar ports take up to 4800W in total, which EcoFlow tested with a production model under favorable conditions, so real results vary. You can also charge with 1000W from your vehicle alternator, 3000W from shore power or 1800W from an EcoFlow Smart Generator.

Stack Batteries Up to 15kWh

EcoFlow says its 2kWh and 5kWh batteries stack in threes for an expandable capacity of up to 15kWh. Stacking saves space, and you add capacity by stacking another battery.

Thinner Wires With 48V

A 48V system passes only a quarter of the current that a 12V system needs for the same power. EcoFlow says that means significantly less heat and power loss, and it lets the system use thinner wires and fewer modules.

Cold-Weather Batteries

Built-in auto-heating lets you use the batteries in temperatures as low as -4°F. An integrated BMS monitors temperature, voltage and current so the batteries don't operate beyond their capacity.

Smart Controls in the App and on the Wall

The EcoFlow app shows daily, weekly and monthly usage, offers remote control and handles firmware updates over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. A Power Kit Console mounts on the wall for real-time data and settings from inside your RV or home.

Real-World Applications

Tiny homes and off-grid cabins. Run everyday appliances such as a fridge, microwave, induction cooker and air conditioner, which EcoFlow shows on Power Kits.

RVs and trailers. Charge from solar during the day, from shore power at a campground or from your alternator on the road.

Partial home backup. EcoFlow's quick start guide shows Power Kits feeding backup loads through the AC/DC Smart Distribution Panel and an AC sub panel, not included.

How It Compares to Common Alternatives

Versus the 2kWh Power Kits. EcoFlow builds Power Kits around 2kWh, 4kWh, 5kWh, 10kWh and 15kWh battery stacks on the same Power Hub. The 5kWh kit starts with more storage for larger builds.

Versus a 12V system. A 12V system carries four times the current for the same power, with more heat and loss in the wiring. Power Kits run at 48V.

Versus a gas generator. A generator burns fuel whenever it runs. Power Kits store energy from solar, shore power or your alternator, with a Smart Generator as an optional backup.

Is This Power Kit the Right Fit

• Indoor placement. The batteries, Power Hub and Console are not waterproof and should not be placed outside permanently.
• Ventilation. The Power Hub needs ventilation to prevent overheating, with the clearances shown in the quick start guide.
• Not included. Solar panels are sold separately, and the 100A alternator fuse, shore power inlet, AC sub panel and main panel are not included.
• CAN Bus connections. Both RJ45 CAN Bus ports on the Power Hub must connect to the Distribution Panel, Console or a CAN Bus terminator, or the system will malfunction.
