The EcoFlow Lithium 12V 100Ah Deep Cycle LiFePO4 Battery is a 12.8V, 100Ah (1280Wh) lithium iron phosphate battery with a built-in battery management system (BMS). EcoFlow rates it for 1280W of continuous output and more than 6000 cycles at 0.5C, 25°C (77°F) and 80% depth of discharge.
EcoFlow lists it for RV and marine systems, solar lights, golf carts, trolling motors and small energy storage. It is Group 27 equivalent, and EcoFlow describes it as a slot-in replacement for Group 27-31 batteries.
The battery handles up to 100A of charging and discharging current, with a peak of 110A for 30 seconds. EcoFlow recommends charging at 50A or less, and the working voltage range is 10V to 14.6V.
The BMS monitors voltage, current and temperature and protects against low temperature, high temperature, overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent and short circuit. It stops charging below 32°F (0°C), cuts off at the lower voltage limit, and passively balances the cells.
The battery is rated IP65, and EcoFlow says it resists water even from low-pressure jets. Its 5VA-grade flame-retardant casing extinguishes itself within 30 seconds in the unlikely event of a fire, and fireproof foam between the cells reduces vibration and friction.
Connect up to 8 batteries in parallel at 12V, 2 or 4 in series for 24V or 48V, or combine them as 8P2S or 4P4S for up to 20480Wh. Use batteries of the same brand, specification and capacity, and balance them to within 0.1V before you connect them.
EcoFlow quotes a 0-100% charge in as fast as 2 hours with a 14.6V 50A AC charger, with 800W or more of solar, or with a generator through a 50A DC-DC charger.
RV house power. Fit it in a Group 27 battery tray and run your RV's 12V system, or build a 24V or 48V bank.
Off-grid cabins and workshops. Build a system with an inverter, MPPT charge controller, shunt or EcoFlow Smart Distribution Panel, all sold separately.
Marine systems. At sea, EcoFlow advises a dry, stable spot with minimal airflow to keep moisture out.
Versus a lead-acid battery. EcoFlow notes that most lead-acid batteries have no BMS. This battery has one, with six protections and a self-extinguishing case, and is rated for more than 6000 cycles.
Versus a starting battery. This is a dedicated energy storage battery. EcoFlow says not to use it to start an engine or to power an electric vehicle.

Let the battery rest for 30 minutes with no charging or load, then read the voltage. EcoFlow's chart puts 13.6V at 100%, 13.25V at 50% and 12.8V at 10%.
It ships at about 50% charge, so charge it before first use. For storage over 3 months, keep it at 30-60% charge in a dry place at 68°F to 95°F (20°C to 35°C), and recharge it every 6 months (every 3 months above 86°F).
EcoFlow lists a 5-year comprehensive warranty. The warranty is void if the battery is repaired or disassembled.
