The Faraday Defense NX3 Faraday Bag is a shielding bag made with three layers of CYBER NC nickel and copper fabric and closed with a double-fold Velcro seal. Faraday Defense rates NX3 at 85 to 90 dB of attenuation and says it blocks Bluetooth, WiFi, cell signals including 5G networks, GPS and RFID, while also providing EMP protection.
It comes in five interior sizes, from a 5 x 7 in cell phone bag to an 18 x 28 in XXL laptop bag. Faraday designed NX3 for military, police departments, forensic investigators, government and executive travel, and for anyone who wants personal data security, signal isolation or EMP protection for a phone, tablet, laptop or radio.
NX3 uses three layers of metal-plated CYBER NC fabric containing nickel and copper shielding elements. Faraday says the layers dissipate signals from both exterior and interior sources, so the bag blocks communication to and from the device inside.
Faraday Defense rates NX3 at 85 to 90 dB attenuation. It lists cell towers (including 5G networks), GPS, RFID, Bluetooth and WiFi as the signals the bag blocks.
The top folds over twice and presses closed on a Velcro strip. Faraday uses this double-fold seal for enhanced blocking and a tight closure, and reinforced binding finishes the edges of the bag.
Faraday describes the CYBER fabric as a defense against both wireless signals and electromagnetic pulses, so the same bag can isolate a phone today and hold backup electronics as part of your EMP plan.
Interior dimensions are 5 x 7, 8 x 10, 12 x 18, 16 x 20 and 18 x 28 in. Faraday names them cell phone, notebook, laptop, XL laptop and XXL laptop sizes.
Evidence and forensic work. Faraday designed NX3 for police departments and forensic investigators who need to keep a phone or tablet isolated from networks.
Travel and data privacy. Keep phones, tablets and laptops off cell, WiFi and Bluetooth networks when you want them offline, a use Faraday lists as executive travel and personal data security.
Keys, cards and drives. Faraday lists key fobs, credit cards, small hard drives and USB drives among the items NX3 is designed to shield, and the cell phone size holds small items like these.
Backup electronics. Store a spare phone, radio or laptop in a sized bag as part of EMP preparation.
A single-layer pouch relies on one layer of shielding fabric. NX3 uses three layers of CYBER NC and a double-fold seal, and Faraday rates it at 85 to 90 dB attenuation.
The 5 x 7 in bag is easy to carry for a phone, keys or cards. The 12 x 18, 16 x 20 and 18 x 28 in bags hold laptops and larger gear, and the 8 x 10 in notebook bag sits in between.
Measure your device with its case. Pick an interior size with enough length left over for the top to fold over twice, since the double-fold seal needs that room. If you're between sizes, choose the larger bag.
Fold the top over twice before pressing the Velcro closed, since Faraday designed the double-fold seal for enhanced blocking. A simple check is to seal a phone inside and call it.
Faraday Defense says NX3 blocks Bluetooth, WiFi, cell signals including 5G networks, GPS and RFID, with 85 to 90 dB attenuation.
Faraday designed NX3 for EMP protection as well as signal isolation and describes its CYBER fabric as a defense against electromagnetic pulses.
Faraday names the 12 x 18 in bag the laptop size, the 16 x 20 in bag the XL laptop size and the 18 x 28 in bag the XXL laptop size. Compare your laptop's measurements with the interior sizes and allow room for the fold.
Each other size option includes one NX3 bag in that size instead.
The Faraday Defense NX3 Faraday Bag gives your devices three layers of CYBER NC fabric rated at 85 to 90 dB, a double-fold Velcro seal and EMP protection in five interior sizes. If you'd like help choosing the right size for your phone, tablet or laptop, the Outbound Power team is happy to help.
