The Renogy 1.2kW Essential Solar Kit is an all-in-one off-grid solar system for cabins, tiny homes, sheds, workshops and rural homes. It includes 4 Renogy 320W N-type monocrystalline panels (1,280W total), 4 Renogy 12V 200Ah Core Mini lithium batteries wired as a 48V bank (10.24kWh), a 48V 3500W pure sine wave solar inverter charger, a 5-string solar combiner box, DC circuit breakers and breaker box, heavy-gauge cables and a BT-2 Bluetooth module for remote monitoring.
Renogy positions this 1,280W system as an entry-level solution that can power a tiny home or cabin's appliances for 3 to 4 days on stored energy, depending on use. The inverter charger combines a solar charge controller, a 3500W inverter and a 40A AC battery charger in one unit, so you can charge from solar, a generator or the grid. Panels mount on your roof or the ground, and the batteries can be stored in any convenient, protected space.
N-type cells deliver 22.2% module efficiency in a 64.6 x 34.7 inch frame, with a 10-year output, materials and workmanship warranty.
4 Core Mini 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 batteries form a 48V bank rated for 5,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge. Each battery has a 200A BMS with low-temperature protection and an IP65 case.
The all-in-one unit delivers 3,500W of 120V pure sine wave power at more than 95% peak efficiency, accepts up to 4,400W of solar at up to 150V, charges batteries at up to 80A from solar and 40A from AC, and adjusts output from 100V to 120V.
A combiner box with 16A breakers for the solar strings, a 32A DC breaker and a 160A 2-pole molded case breaker protect the system from overloads and short circuits and make it easy to isolate components for maintenance.
The included BT-2 module connects the system to the Renogy app for remote monitoring.

Versus gas generators. Once installed, the system generates and stores power quietly with no fuel costs, and it can still accept generator charging when needed.
