The Renogy Pro S1 12V 120Ah / 240Ah LiFePO4 Battery is built for motorhomes, vans, sailboats and off-grid homes that run demanding appliances. Its semi-solid-state cells use about 70% less liquid electrolyte than conventional lithium-ion cells, and Renogy rates them for 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, or more than 16 years at one full cycle per day.
The Pro S1 120 stores 1,536Wh, delivers 150A continuously and is compact enough to fit under many RV seats. The Pro S1 240 stores 3,072Wh and delivers 240A continuously, more than 3,000W, enough to run an RV air conditioner, coffee maker or hair dryer. Both include self-heating, Bluetooth and CAN communication, a metal IP67 case and a 7-year warranty.
The Pro S1 120 supplies 150A continuously and 350A for 30 seconds, pairing well with an inverter up to about 1,800W. The Pro S1 240 supplies 240A continuously and 450A for 30 seconds, pairing with an inverter up to about 2,880W.
Instead of one hard cutoff, the BMS responds in stages. On the 240Ah model it allows 250A for 1 minute and 450A for 30 seconds, then cuts off at 480A within 200 milliseconds. That lets inverters and compressors start without nuisance trips while still stopping short circuits quickly. A self-controlled fuse adds a second line of defense.
High-wattage heating pads help the battery recover from low-temperature protection up to 70% faster than earlier designs, based on the 240Ah model, so it can keep charging through cold weather.
Enhanced Bluetooth reaches up to 32.8 yards (30 m) for monitoring voltage, current, capacity and heating status in the Renogy app. CAN ports allow wired communication with compatible system components, and firmware updates arrive over the air.
UL94 V-0 flame-retardant materials resist 10 seconds of direct burning without dripping. The IP67 enclosure can be submerged to 1 meter for 30 minutes, and the battery passes 24-hour salt spray testing for marine use. Mounting brackets hold it firmly in place on rough roads.
Semi-solid-state cells heat up about nine times more slowly than traditional liquid lithium cells, lowering the risk of thermal runaway in hot conditions.
