The Rich Solar ALPHA 3 LITE 12V 300Ah LiFePO4 Battery (RS-B123) is a 12.8V lithium iron phosphate battery that stores 3,840Wh in a 20.6 x 10.6 x 8.7 inch case weighing 71.3 pounds. It supports 300A of continuous charge and discharge current and connects up to four units in parallel for 1,200Ah at 12V.
The ALPHA 3 LITE is the value model of the ALPHA 3 line. It uses Grade A+ LiFePO4 cells rated for 4,000+ cycles, an IP65 UL94 V-0 flame-retardant housing and a full-protection BMS with low-temperature charging protection. It does not include the internal heater or Bluetooth of the standard ALPHA 3, which makes it a strong fit for warm climates and heated spaces.
One ALPHA 3 LITE does the job of three 100Ah batteries, with one set of terminals and one BMS. That means less wiring, fewer connections to check and a cleaner battery compartment.
The BMS allows 300A of continuous current in both directions, enough to support a large 12V inverter and fast charging from big chargers or solar arrays.
Grade A+ LiFePO4 cells are rated for 4,000+ cycles, far more than typical lead-acid batteries. Self-discharge is 5% or less per month, so a stored battery holds most of its charge between uses.
The BMS automatically stops charging when it is too cold to charge safely and resumes when conditions improve. Charging is rated from 32°F to 131°F and discharging from -4°F to 140°F.
The battery management system protects against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short circuits and temperature extremes.
The UL94 V-0 flame-retardant housing is rated IP65 against dust and water spray. The LiFePO4 chemistry needs no watering, equalizing or regular maintenance.

Versus the standard ALPHA 3. The ALPHA 3 adds internal heating, Bluetooth monitoring and a 5,000+ cycle rating. Choose the LITE when the battery stays above freezing for charging or when you already use a separate battery monitor.
Versus three 100Ah batteries. Three batteries need more space, more cables and careful matching. The LITE puts 300Ah in one case with one BMS.
Versus lead-acid batteries. A lead-acid bank of similar usable capacity is much heavier, needs maintenance and lasts far fewer cycles.
