The Rich Solar MEGA 175 PRO 175 Watt 24V Solar Panel With 20 ft MC4 Extension Cable Set pairs a compact 24V off-grid panel with a 20 ft red and black solar extension cable set. The panel delivers 175W from 52 N-Type TOPCon cells with up to 25.3% efficiency in a nearly square 38.6 x 34.7 x 1.2 inch frame that weighs 19 pounds.
The included extension cable set reaches from the panel's pre-attached 3 ft leads to your charge controller, so you can place the panel on the sunny side of a roof, rack or campsite. The panel is certified to UL 61730, IEC 61215 and CSA C22.2 and carries a 25-year output warranty.
The 52-cell layout uses 18-busbar N-Type TOPCon cells with up to 25.3% efficiency. The 0 to +5W power tolerance means each panel delivers at least its rated 175W at standard test conditions.
The cells and 3.2 mm AR-coated tempered glass capture more sunlight on cloudy days and at dawn and dusk, so the panel keeps charging when conditions are less than ideal.
A 20 ft solar extension cable set with MC4 connectors comes in the box. It gives you room to run from a roof or ground mount to a controller and battery bank without buying cables separately.
The cells are PID resistant and double EL inspected to prevent microcracks. Rich Solar also tests the panel for UV exposure, thermal cycling, humidity freeze and more.
The panel is rated for 5,400 Pa snow loads and 2,400 Pa wind loads. The IP67 junction box and IP67 connectors keep out dust and water, and the anodized aluminum frame is light, strong and corrosion resistant.
Fourteen pre-drilled mounting holes fit Z brackets, tilt mounts, pole mounts and ground mounts. The panel works with both on-grid and off-grid inverters.
Rich Solar backs the MEGA 175 PRO with a 25-year output warranty and a 10-year workmanship warranty.
Vans and campers. The square shape fits roof areas that are too short for a long panel.
Boats. Mount the panel on a hardtop or rail and use the extension cable to reach the battery compartment.
Off-grid systems. Add 24V panels to a cabin or shed system and run the extension cable to the controller.
Mobile power setups. Set the panel in the sun at a campsite or job site while the battery stays in the shade.
Versus a bare panel. Most panels come with short leads only. The MEGA 175 PRO includes a 20 ft extension cable set, so the panel can sit farther from the controller.
Versus a long 200W panel. A typical 200W panel is long and narrow. The nearly square MEGA 175 PRO fits shorter roof sections and racks.
Versus a 12V panel. A 24V panel runs at higher voltage and lower current for the same wattage. Pair it with a charge controller that suits its 36.4V open circuit voltage.
This may be a good fit if
No. You only need a charge controller to charge a battery. An inverter is needed only if you want to run AC appliances from the battery.
One MEGA 175 PRO solar panel and one 20 ft solar extension cable set with red and black cables and MC4 connectors.
Not when a solar charge controller is installed. The controller prevents reverse current from draining the battery.
Not always. Panels can often be mounted on the roof using a sealant, or installed on the ground instead.
The Rich Solar MEGA 175 PRO 175 Watt 24V Solar Panel With 20 ft MC4 Extension Cable Set gives you efficient N-Type TOPCon power and the cable length to put the panel where the sun is. At Outbound Power, we help customers pair panels with the right charge controllers, batteries and mounting hardware. If you have questions, our team is happy to help.
