The Rich Solar MEGA 200 PRO FLEX 200 Watt 24V Flexible Solar Panel is an ultra-thin 24V off-grid panel that produces 200W from 10-busbar monocrystalline PERC cells with up to 22.8% efficiency. It is only 0.1 inch thick, weighs 8.6 pounds, and Rich Solar rates it as 360-degree bendable to conform to RV roofs, boat decks and other curved surfaces.
The panel measures 57.8 x 31.3 inches and comes with pre-attached 12 AWG leads, 3 ft each, with MC4 connectors and an IP68 junction box. Rich Solar lists it as compatible with both 12V and 24V solar power systems.
The flexible, 0.1 inch thin panel follows the curve of an RV roof, boat deck or van top where a rigid framed panel would not sit flat. It adds little height and little weight once installed.
The 10-busbar monocrystalline PERC cells convert sunlight at up to 22.8% efficiency. The 0 to +5W power tolerance means the panel delivers at least its rated 200W at standard test conditions.
The panel keeps generating power on cloudy or overcast days and at dawn and dusk. A low temperature coefficient of -0.35% per °C helps it hold strong output in hot conditions.
The IP68 junction box protects against rain, dust and moisture, and the connectors are IP67 rated. The panel withstands up to 5,400 Pa front load and 2,400 Pa back load for snow and wind, and operates from -40°F to 185°F.
Non-destructive cell cutting technology minimizes micro-cracks, and advanced manufacturing processes and premium materials improve PID resistance.
Mount the panel on flat or curved surfaces with adhesive, Velcro or the pre-drilled holes, or hang it. Pre-attached MC4 connectors give a plug-and-play connection to a charge controller or other panels.
Trailers and camper vans. Cover a curved roof with 200W of solar without tall brackets.
Boats and yachts. Lay the panel on a deck, cabin top or bimini to keep house batteries charged.
Golf carts. Rich Solar lists golf carts among its uses for this panel.
Off-grid cabins. Add light, low-profile solar to a cabin or shed system.
Outdoor use. Hang or temporarily mount the panel at a campsite or work area.
Versus a rigid 200W glass panel. A rigid 200W panel needs a flat surface and mounting brackets and weighs much more. The MEGA 200 PRO FLEX weighs 8.6 pounds and follows a curve, but carries a shorter warranty than Rich Solar's rigid MEGA panels.
Versus two 100W flexible panels. Two smaller panels need more wiring and connections. One MEGA 200 PRO FLEX gives 200W from a single pair of leads.
Versus the MEGA 100 PRO FLEX. The 100W version is narrower at 15.7 inches wide. The MEGA 200 PRO FLEX doubles the output in a 31.3 inch wide panel.
This may be a good fit if
Rich Solar lists the MEGA 200 PRO FLEX as compatible with 12V and 24V solar power systems. Choose a charge controller rated for its 40.8V open circuit voltage.
Use adhesive, Velcro or the pre-drilled holes on flat or curved surfaces. The panel can also be hung.
No. A charge controller is all you need to charge a battery. An inverter is only needed to run AC appliances from the battery.
Rich Solar provides a 1-year material and workmanship warranty on the MEGA 200 PRO FLEX.
The Rich Solar MEGA 200 PRO FLEX 200 Watt 24V Flexible Solar Panel brings 200W of efficient charging to curved roofs and decks in a light, 0.1 inch thin panel. At Outbound Power, we help customers pair panels with the right charge controllers, batteries and cables. If you have questions, our team is happy to help.
