The SunGold Power 16kW 48VDC Off-Grid Solar Kit combines two 8000W split phase inverters, thirty-two 450W bifacial N-type panels and five 5.12kWh LiFePO4 batteries in an enclosed cabinet. It also includes DC and PV breakers, 2/0 AWG battery cables, four sets of PV extension cables and Z-brackets for every panel. You can choose standard SG48100P batteries or self-heating SGH48100T batteries, and both options give 25.6kWh of storage.
SunGold says the system will produce up to 53kWh per day with only 4 hours of sunlight. It is sized for homes with high-demand appliances such as an air conditioner, well pump, refrigerator, power tools and office equipment. As loads grow, you can add panels, batteries and up to six identical inverters in total.
Each SPH8048P inverter is rated at 8,000W with a 16,000W peak and a 5HP motor load capacity. Output is pure sine wave at 120/240Vac, split phase or single phase, with a typical 10ms switch time. SunGold lists the inverter as UL 1741 by ETL for off-grid solar systems.
SunGold's wiring diagram connects the panels as four strings of eight in series, one string per MPPT input, each with its own 25A PV breaker. Every inverter has two MPPT trackers that accept up to 11,000W of PV, 500Vdc open circuit and 22A per input, with 99.9% tracking efficiency.
Each inverter charges the battery bank at up to 200A from solar, 100A from a utility or generator and 180A in hybrid mode. That helps refill 25.6kWh of storage after a heavy evening of use.
Both battery options use 51.2V 100Ah LiFePO4 modules of 5.12kWh each. The SG48100P supports 100A continuous charge and discharge and up to 63 units in parallel. The SGH48100T adds a heater that switches on between -13°F and 41°F and turns off at 53.6°F, so the battery stays ready to charge in cold weather.
Each 450W panel has a module efficiency of 22.5%, and SunGold says the rear side can harvest up to an additional 30% energy from reflected light. The dual glass panels are certified for 5400 Pa snow loads and 2400 Pa wind loads.
SunGold describes a transformer-free design with a dedicated generator connection and built-in breakers. No-load consumption is 95W, and SunGold lists Wi-Fi app monitoring and time-slot charging and discharging for this inverter.

Cold-climate properties. Choose the self-heating battery option for an unheated battery room or garage.

Standard versus self-heating batteries. The SG48100P allows 100A of charge current and up to 63 batteries in parallel, and SunGold lists UL1973, UL9540A, CE and UN38.3. The SGH48100T adds self-heating, with a 70A maximum charge current, up to 32 in parallel and a UL1973 listing.
Versus single-sided panels. Bifacial panels can add rear-side output where the back of the array sees reflected light.
Versus buying parts separately. Inverters, cabinet, batteries, panels, breakers and cables come matched in one kit with a SunGold wiring diagram for each battery option.
