The SunGold Power 5kW 48VDC Off-Grid Solar Kit (SGM-5K10M) is designed to bring 2.22kW of solar generation and battery storage to mid-sized off-grid homes or remote cabins. A 5000W 48V pure sine wave inverter with Wi-Fi runs the system, six 370W mono black panels supply the power, and two 51.2V 100Ah wall-mounted LiFePO4 batteries hold 10.24kWh.
It suits households that want twice the storage of a single-battery starter system on a 120V setup. SunGold built it ready for expansion, so you can add inverters, batteries and panels later.
Two SG48100M batteries at 5.12kWh each give the kit 10.24kWh of storage. Each battery is rated for 7000 cycles and has an LCD plus a BMS that monitors cell voltage, current and temperature.
The panels use 182mm half-cut PERC cells with 20.31% module efficiency in an all-black design. IP68 junction boxes and connectors, plus load ratings of 5400Pa for snow and 2400Pa for wind, prepare them for outdoor duty.
The inverter delivers 5000W of 120V pure sine wave output with a 10000VA peak. Its MPPT charger accepts up to 5500W of solar at up to 500V open circuit, so the 2220W array leaves room to grow.
The Wi-Fi model inverter sends performance and energy data to an app. You can check solar production and battery status without standing at the equipment.
Up to six identical inverters can be paralleled for 120VAC single phase, 240VAC split phase or 208V three phase output. That lets the system grow with a larger home or new loads.
When grid or generator power drops out, the inverter moves between bypass and inverter mode in a typical 10ms, so most equipment keeps running through the change.
Mid-sized off-grid homes. Run everyday 120V appliances from solar by day and 10.24kWh of storage at night.
Remote cabins. Give a cabin far from utility lines a full solar and storage system in one order.
Long cloudy spells. Let the 40A AC charger top up the batteries from a generator during long cloudy spells.
Systems that will grow. Add a second inverter later for 240V split phase power, or add panels and batteries.
Versus a single-battery system. Two 5.12kWh batteries double the storage, which carries more of your evening and overnight load before a generator or grid source is needed.
Versus server rack batteries. These SG48100M batteries hang on the wall. A rack-mount battery bank needs a rack or cabinet as well.
Versus assembling parts yourself. The kit groups the inverter, panels, batteries, breakers, cables and Z-brackets, so the main components are chosen to work together.
