The SunGold Power 6.5kW 48VDC Off-Grid Solar Kit (SGR-6510E) combines a 6500W 48V split phase inverter with eight 450W bifacial N-type monocrystalline panels and two 51.2V 100Ah server rack LiFePO4 batteries for 10.24kWh of storage.
SunGold estimates the array produces around 13kWh per day based on 4 hours of sun, which suits cabins, shops and homes that use around 390kWh per month. The rack-mount batteries carry UL1973 and UL9540A listings, and a 250A busbar with two sets of 1/0 AWG cables is included for the battery connections.
The 450W panels collect light on both faces. SunGold says the rear side can harvest up to an additional 30% energy, and the front reaches 22.5% module efficiency. Dual glass construction is rated for 5400Pa front and 2400Pa rear loads.
Each MPPT controller accepts up to 5000W at up to 550V open circuit, with a 150-450Vdc operating range and 99.9% tracking efficiency. The 3600W array still leaves room to expand.
Two SG48100P batteries in 3U rack format provide 10.24kWh. Each is rated for 7000 cycles with a 15-year design life, and up to 63 batteries can run in parallel.
The SPH6548P delivers 6500W of rated output with a 13000VA peak, as 120/240V split phase or 120V single phase, and switches over in a typical 10ms.
The inverter supports CAN and RS485 communication with SunGold batteries, and the SG48100P supports CAN, RS485 and RS232.
You can set charging and discharging periods by time of day. Where grid power is connected, that lets you match local peak and valley rates.
Up to six inverters can run in parallel for up to 39KW, including 208V three phase.
Off-grid homes. Around 13kWh of daily solar and 10.24kWh of storage support homes that use around 390kWh per month.
Ground or pole mounts. Mount the eight bifacial panels on ground brackets, poles, flat roofs or vertical surfaces where the back of the array sees reflected light.
Shops with 240V equipment. Run 240V circuits and 120V outlets from one inverter.
Winter conditions. SunGold notes the dual-sided design captures reflected light and helps shed snow.
Versus monofacial panels. Bifacial modules can add energy from the rear side. The extra yield depends on the light that reaches the back of the panels.
Versus wall-mount storage. The SG48100P is a 3U server rack battery. It belongs in a rack or cabinet, which is not part of this kit.
Versus 120V single phase systems. Split phase output covers 240V loads without a second inverter.
