The ACOPower PLK 100W Portable Solar Panel Kit is a portable solar charger made up of two folding monocrystalline panels in a lightweight briefcase. It produces up to 100 watts in full sun. With about 5 hours of good sun it can produce around 500 watt hours a day, depending on location and season.

A ProteusX 20A waterproof charge controller comes pre-installed, so you can clip the kit straight onto a 12V battery. To charge a solar generator or power station that has its own controller, connect the removable MC4 cables directly and bypass the ProteusX. You can even charge a 12V battery and a solar generator at the same time.

High-Efficiency Monocrystalline Cells

ACOPower uses monocrystalline cells with up to 23% conversion efficiency, so the panel delivers more power from a smaller footprint than polycrystalline designs.

Fold, Carry and Set Up

The panels fold together like a briefcase with a handle and corner protectors. Built-in support legs adjust so you can angle the panel toward the sun, and a carry bag protects it in storage.

ProteusX 20A Waterproof Charge Controller

The pre-installed ProteusX is a 20 amp PWM controller with a backlit LCD that shows volts, amps, amp hours and the battery preset. It is negative ground, waterproof, and works with eight battery types: Lithium-ion, LiFePO4, LTO, Gel, AGM, Flooded, Lead Crystal and Calcium. Its 20A rating handles up to 360W of solar at 12V.

Battery Clips and Anderson Plug

The controller output uses battery clips with an inline fuse for direct connection to a 12V battery. An Anderson plug connects to ACOPower adapters for pre-wired RV and camper solar ports.

Expandable

Connect a second panel in parallel with MC4 Y branch connectors for faster charging, keeping the combined current within the controller rating. ACOPower says the kit can be expanded to a maximum of 200W of panels with adapter cables.

Can I Charge a Power Station With It?

Yes. Disconnect the MC4 cables from the ProteusX and connect them to your power station with the adapter that came with it, so the station's own controller manages charging.

Is It Waterproof?

The kit is IP65 rated and the ProteusX controller is waterproof, but fold and store it when not in use to protect the hinges and cables.

What Battery Settings Does It Support?

The ProteusX defaults to sealed (AGM). Change the preset to match your battery, including LiFePO4 and other lithium types.

How Do I Test It?

Set a multimeter to DC volts and measure across the MC4 cables in direct sun. ACOPower says open circuit voltage should read about 17.6V to 23V.
