The AIMS Power 11 Amp PWM Waterproof Solar Charge Controller is a compact, pre-wired controller that makes adding solar to a 12 volt battery system fast and easy. It comes with the solar panel and battery cables already attached, and built-in MC4 connectors let you plug in and extend your panel wiring without extra crimping. Rated IP68 waterproof, it charges all battery types including lithium, handles up to 190 watts of solar input and fits in a space smaller than a deck of cards. It is a practical choice for small panels on RVs, boats, trailers, sheds and other 12 volt setups.
The controller includes the solar panel and battery cables, so setup is quick. The PV input cable is 13 inches long with MC4 connectors for easy extension, and the battery output cable is 5 feet long.
An IP68 rating protects the controller against water and dust, so it can be mounted in exposed locations where an open-board controller would not survive.
AIMS Power states the controller charges all battery types, including lithium. It uses a 2 stage charging process with a boost charge of 14.2 volts and a float charge of 13.8 volts.
