The AIMS Power 25 Amp 36V/48V AC Converter/Battery Charger is a three-stage smart charger and power supply for 36 volt and 48 volt battery banks. A dip switch selects 36 or 48 volt operation, and it delivers up to 25 amps at 36 volts or 18.5 amps at 48 volts. A broad AC input range of 70 to 145 volts handles generators and shore power with unstable inputs, and it charges open lead acid, AGM, gel and LiFePO4 batteries. AIMS Power lists it as ideal for golf carts, RVs, boats, campers and many other applications, with reverse polarity, over voltage, under voltage, short circuit and over temperature protections.
A dip switch selects 36 volt or 48 volt battery bank operation, so one unit covers both system voltages.
Bulk, absorb and float stages with a variable charging voltage algorithm help maximize battery life. Four pre-programmed charging algorithms are selected with dip switches for the most common charging profiles.
Selectable battery types include open lead-acid, gel, AGM and LiFePO4, with an adjustable setting.
A charge current control dial lets you safely charge smaller batteries by reducing output current.
The charger runs at full performance from 96 to 145 volts AC and automatically de-rates to 50% of full load current from 70 to 96 volts AC, making it suitable for generators and campground power where voltage can sag.
A battery temperature sensor port lets the charger adjust charge voltage and current based on actual battery temperature. The sensor is not included.
Up to two units can be connected in parallel for more charging capacity.
Golf carts. Charge 36 or 48 volt golf cart battery banks.
RVs and campers. Recharge 36 or 48 volt house battery banks from shore power or a generator.
Boats. Charge trolling motor and house battery banks at the dock.
Off-grid and backup systems. Keep 48 volt battery banks topped up from AC power.
