The BLUETTI B4810 LiFePO4 Battery Stores 5.12 kWh at 51.2V for RV, Marine and Home Energy Systems
The BLUETTI B4810 LiFePO4 Battery is a 51.2V, 100Ah lithium iron phosphate battery that stores 5.12 kWh in one unit. It has a smart battery management system (BMS), built-in self-heating, an IP65 rated housing and Bluetooth for the BLUETTI app.
BLUETTI designed it for RV non-driving systems, marine non-propulsion systems and home energy setups. It's an energy storage battery, so it isn't meant to start an engine or power an electric vehicle. If you're building a 48V system and want room to grow, you can connect up to 24 of them in parallel.
BLUETTI B4810 LiFePO4 Battery Features
5.12 kWh of Storage in One 51.2V Unit
Each B4810 holds 100Ah at a nominal 51.2V, which is 5.12 kWh of stored energy. Its operating voltage runs from 40V to 58.4V, so pair it with chargers and inverters built for a 48V battery system.
Self-Heating for Cold Weather
Built-in self-heating lets the B4810 keep working in temperatures as low as -4°F (-20°C). BLUETTI rates both charging and discharging from -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to 55°C), with 5% to 95% relative humidity.
Smart BMS Protection
The BMS guards against overcharging, short circuits and temperature extremes. It stops charging at 58.4V and recovers at 54.4V, and it stops discharging at 40.8V and recovers at 44.8V. It also watches each cell's voltage and temperature and has five discharge overcurrent limits from 105A to 280A.
100A Continuous Discharge With a 200A Peak
The B4810 delivers up to 100A continuously and handles a 200A peak for 30 seconds. BLUETTI recommends 50A for charging, with a 100A maximum. These figures help you match the battery to your inverter, DC-DC charger or charge controller.
6,000 Cycles to 70% Capacity
BLUETTI rates the B4810 for 6,000 cycles while it keeps 70% of its capacity, tested at a 0.5C charge and discharge rate at 77°F (25°C). That long cycle life suits systems that charge and discharge every day.
IP65 Housing With Covered Terminals
The housing carries an IP65 rating, and dust covers fit over the terminal end once the cables are attached. A safety vent balances pressure as the battery warms during use, and a grounding screw sits on the side of the case. Keep the battery dry and don't use it in water.
Bluetooth App and Parallel Expansion
Connect to the BLUETTI app over Bluetooth to check the remaining state of charge and update the battery. COM input and output ports, linked with the included Ethernet cable, let batteries in a parallel bank communicate. You can expand to 24 batteries in parallel.
Real-World Applications
RV house power. Use the B4810 as the storage battery in an RV's non-driving system, feeding your inverter and DC panel.
Marine house systems. On a boat, the B4810 suits non-propulsion systems. Install it in a dry, stable spot with limited airflow to reduce moisture exposure.
Home energy storage. Pair it with a compatible inverter and charger to store energy for home use, and add batteries as your needs grow.
Large battery banks. Two batteries in parallel give you 10,240 Wh, four give you 20,480 Wh and eight give you 40,960 Wh, all at 51.2V.
Practical Comparison
B4810 Versus a Lead-Acid Battery Bank
A lead-acid bank is a familiar way to store power, but it doesn't report its state of charge over Bluetooth or heat itself in the cold. The B4810 uses LiFePO4 cells with a BMS, self-heating, an IP65 housing and a 6,000 cycle rating, and a single unit gives you 5.12 kWh at 51.2V.
One B4810 Versus a Parallel Bank
One B4810 gives you 5.12 kWh and 100A of continuous discharge. Adding batteries in parallel multiplies the amp-hours and stored energy while the voltage stays at 51.2V, and banks larger than 8 batteries need Edock battery communication interface boxes.
Buyer Guidance
Installation and Wiring
BLUETTI recommends battery connection cable larger than 4 AWG (20 mm²). You'll need a 14mm (9/16") wrench, a hex socket wrench, a screwdriver, a multimeter and protective gloves. Power the battery off before you connect it, and don't place washers between the terminal bolts and the cable lugs, since that can cause high resistance and overheating. Install it in a clean, dry and well-ventilated area, then secure it with the included mounting brackets. At about 101.4 lbs, it should be moved with a forklift or trolley.
Charging and Third-Party Equipment
Charge the B4810 with an AC-DC charger, DC-DC charger, charge controller or other compatible device that matches its specifications. Before you connect batteries in parallel, fully charge each one, check that their voltages are within 0.3V of each other, then let them rest together for 12 to 24 hours. Use batteries of the same brand, specification and capacity, and don't mix new and used batteries. For compatibility with third-party devices, BLUETTI requires an Edock battery communication interface box, which is sold separately.
This May Be A Good Fit If
- You're building a 48V RV, marine or home energy system
- You need a battery that works in temperatures down to -4°F
- You want to check your state of charge in an app
- You plan to expand to a larger parallel bank later
Common Questions
Can the B4810 Work Below Freezing?
Yes. Built-in self-heating keeps it working in temperatures as low as -4°F (-20°C), and its rated charging and discharging range is -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to 55°C).
How Many B4810 Batteries Can I Connect Together?
Up to 24 in parallel. Setups with more than 8 batteries need Edock battery communication interface boxes, and each box supports up to 8 batteries.
How Do I Check the State of Charge?
Use the BLUETTI app over Bluetooth, or measure the resting voltage after 30 minutes with no charging or discharging. A resting voltage of 54.4V means about 100%, 53.0V about 50%, 51.2V about 10% and 40.0V empty.
Can I Use It as a Starting Battery?
No. The B4810 is for energy storage only. Don't use it as a starting battery or as the power battery for an electric vehicle.
How Should I Store the B4810?
Charge it above 60% before storage and run a full charge and discharge cycle every 6 months. Store it in a dry place at -4°F to 104°F (-20°C to 40°C) for up to 1 month, or at -4°F to 77°F (-20°C to 25°C) for up to 6 months.
