The BLUETTI DC Input Cable for Charger 1 is the cable between the Charger 1 alternator charger and your vehicle's battery. BLUETTI's manual describes it as a DC input cable kit, 5 m (16 ft) long, 6 AWG, with a 60A circuit breaker.
It's for Charger 1 owners who want BLUETTI's own input cable. The kit has a red BAT+ cable and a black BAT- cable.
BLUETTI says to install a 60A circuit breaker on the input cable for safety. The breaker in this kit trips automatically in a high surge and you reset it by flipping the handle.
Red is BAT+ and black is BAT-. You connect them to the Charger 1 input ports, then connect the OT terminals on the other end to the car battery's positive and negative terminals.
BLUETTI's wiring steps assume this cable. The product photo shows ring terminals on one end, and pin terminals on the other.
Van and RV installs. Run the cable from the engine compartment to the Charger 1 in the cargo area.
A replacement cable. Swap in a new input cable if the original is damaged or too short for your install.
BLUETTI says you can use your own cables, and recommends 6 AWG. Its Charger 1 package also includes tube terminals and OT terminals for a do-it-yourself cable. This kit gives you the cable and the 60A circuit breaker already matched.
Make sure the vehicle is off. Handle only one terminal at a time, wear goggles and gloves, and connect the input cable to the Charger 1 first, then to the car battery. BLUETTI recommends having a professional perform the installation. Charger 1 draws up to 50A from a 12V vehicle and up to 25A from a 24V vehicle.
BLUETTI's Charger 1 package lists a DC input cable kit. This listing is the cable on its own.
No. BLUETTI says you can use your own cables, with a 60A circuit breaker, and recommends 6 AWG.
BLUETTI says the 60A breaker protects your vehicle, the Charger 1 and your power station by tripping in a surge. Flip the handle back to reset it.
The BLUETTI DC Input Cable for Charger 1 gives you a 6 AWG cable with a 60A breaker for your alternator charging install. If you have questions about whether it fits your setup, the Outbound Power team is happy to help.
