BLUETTI PV100 FX 100W flexible panel front view with MC4 connectors

The BLUETTI PV100 FX Flexible Solar Panel Bends to Fit Curved RV Roofs and Boat Decks at Just 4.85 lbs per 100W Panel

The BLUETTI PV100 FX Flexible Solar Panel is a thin, lightweight 100W panel with up to 23.4% cell efficiency, HPC lamination and an IP67 water resistance rating. Each panel weighs 4.85 lbs (2.2 kg), measures 39.4 x 23.2 in (1000 x 590 mm) and ends in standard MC4 connectors.

It's built for RVs, van build outs, boats, balconies and off-grid setups where a rigid glass panel is too heavy or won't sit on a curved surface. The PV100 FX comes as a set of 2 panels for 200W, and you can also choose 4 panels for 400W or 6 panels for 600W.

BLUETTI PV100 FX Flexible Solar Panel Features

Up to 23.4% Cell Efficiency

BLUETTI rates the cell efficiency at up to 23.4%. Each panel delivers 100W maximum power, with a voltage at max power of 34.5V and a current at max power of 2.9A. Open circuit voltage is 41.4V and short circuit current is 3.05A. Those numbers make it easy to check a controller or power station's input limits before you wire it.

Bends to Fit Curved Surfaces

BLUETTI lists a 240° bendable design, so the panel can follow a curved RV roof, a boat deck or an uneven mounting surface instead of needing a flat rack. Shape it to the surface while you install it.

Light Enough for Roofs and Rails

At 4.85 lbs (2.2 kg) per panel, the PV100 FX adds little weight to a roof, rail or deck. A set of 2 weighs about 9.7 lbs in total.

Layered HPC Construction

High-transparency HPC film protects the monocrystalline cells, an EVA layer cushions them and an LBC backsheet seals the back. The panel carries an IP67 rating for protection against water splashes.

Drill-Free Mounting

Each corner has a mounting hole. Hang the panel with straps or ropes through the corner holes, or fix it in place with adhesive, so you don't need to drill into your roof or deck.

Standard MC4 Output

A junction box on each panel feeds a 0.9 meter, 2.5mm² MC4 cable. Plug the connectors into a 4mm² solar connector, combiner or adapter to reach your power station, charge controller or other device.

Wide Operating Temperature

The PV100 FX is rated to operate from -13°F to 149°F (-25°C to 65°C), and BLUETTI lists 77°F (25°C) as its optimal working temperature.

Real-World Applications

RV roofs. Mount the panels on a curved or flat RV roof with straps or adhesive and feed your RV's off-grid power system.

Van build outs. The thin, light panels suit van roofs where weight and height matter.

Boats. Lay the panels along a deck or canopy and secure them through the corner holes.

Balconies and off-grid homes. BLUETTI confirms the PV100 FX can be used in an off-grid home setup, and it also names balconies as a place to use it.

Practical Comparison

PV100 FX Versus a Rigid Glass Panel

Glass panels are more fragile and less versatile to install, though they typically offer higher power outputs. The PV100 FX is lighter and thinner, follows curved surfaces and mounts without drilling, which makes it easier to install on vehicles and boats.

PV100 FX Versus a Foldable Portable Panel

Foldable panels are designed for temporary use and easy transport, so you set them up and pack them away each time. The PV100 FX is meant to stay mounted on a roof or deck, so it's ready to collect sun whenever you're parked or anchored.

200W Set Versus 400W or 600W Sets

The 200W set gives you 2 panels for a smaller system or a single roof section. The 400W and 600W options give you 4 or 6 panels for a larger array. Choose the size that your power station or charge controller's solar input can accept.

Buyer Guidance

Series, Parallel and Input Limits

You can connect PV100 FX panels in series for higher voltage or in parallel for higher current. Whichever way you wire them, keep the total open circuit voltage and current within your power station or controller's input limits. The panel also works with third-party MPPT controllers and power stations when the voltage and current match their input requirements and the connectors are the same. BLUETTI doesn't recommend mixing the PV100 FX with other solar panels, since that can lower the efficiency and output of the whole system.

Care and Handling

Once the panel is installed, avoid further bending, drops, soaking, shading and scratches. Don't step on it, since that can damage the cells. Clean it regularly with a soft cloth or water spray, and don't use the panels in extreme weather such as thunderstorms, floods or typhoons.

This May Be A Good Fit If

  • You need solar on a curved RV, van or boat roof
  • You want to mount panels without drilling
  • Weight on the roof is a concern
  • You plan to expand in 100W steps

Common Questions

Is the PV100 FX Waterproof?

No. It is IP67 water resistant, which protects against splashes and brief exposure to water. Don't leave it in the rain or in water for long periods.

Can I Connect Several PV100 FX Panels Together?

Yes. Connect them in series for higher voltage or in parallel for higher current, and make sure the total open circuit voltage and current stay within your charger's specifications.

What Affects the Real Output?

Weather, sun intensity, shading, panel orientation, temperature, location, dust and dirt all affect output. In shade or low sunlight, output can be very low or zero. The 100W rating is measured at standard test conditions of 1000W/m² irradiance and 25°C cell temperature.

Does It Need Regular Cleaning?

Yes. Dust and dirt block sunlight and reduce efficiency, so wipe the panel with a soft cloth or use a water spray, taking care not to scratch it.

What Warranty Does It Have?

BLUETTI lists a 12 month warranty for the PV100 FX.
