The BougeRV 12V 100Ah Group 24 Solar LiFePO4 Battery is a 12.8V lithium iron phosphate battery with 100Ah of capacity and 1280Wh of energy. It measures 10.24 x 6.61 x 8.23 in, weighs 24.25 lbs and carries an IP65 protection rating. BougeRV presents it as a lighter, more space-efficient alternative to traditional lead acid batteries.
It's built for RVs, camper vans, boats, camping setups and off-grid solar systems. A built-in battery management system (BMS) handles six protections, charging stops in the cold to protect the cells, and you can connect up to four batteries in series or four in parallel as your power needs grow.
At 10.24 x 6.61 x 8.23 in and 24.25 lbs, the battery fits a compact Group 24 footprint while still giving you 100Ah. BougeRV says it balances space and capacity, which matters when every inch counts in a van, trailer or boat.
BougeRV rates the battery for 4000 cycles at 25°C, 0.2C and 100% depth of discharge, with a lifespan of up to 10 years under appropriate use. Deep-cycle performance gives you usable energy over repeated charge and discharge cycles.
The BMS monitors the battery and protects against overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuits, overheating and low-temperature charging. Overcharge protection trips at 14.6V and recovers at 14.0V. Over-discharge protection trips at 8.8V and recovers at 10.4V.
Charging is allowed from 32°F to 149°F. If the battery temperature drops to 32°F (0°C), low-temperature protection activates, and charging resumes once the battery warms back to 35.6°F (2°C). This protects the cells when you camp in cold weather.
After a charge or discharge overload, the battery recovers by itself in about 32 seconds, with no need to disconnect the wiring. That keeps your system running with less troubleshooting.
Connect up to four batteries in series for a 48V system or up to four in parallel for 400Ah. BougeRV notes that a 4P bank reaches 5120Wh and a 4S4P bank can reach up to 20.48kWh.
RV and camper van power. Connect solar charging, power distribution, an inverter and your essential 12V equipment to a battery that fits a Group 24 space.
Boats. Keep 12V equipment powered on the water with a battery in an IP65 rated case.
Solar storage. Pair the battery with a solar panel and a 12V MPPT or PWM charge controller set to LiFePO4 to store solar energy for later.
Off-grid systems. Start with one battery and add more in parallel or series as your system grows.
BougeRV positions this battery as a lighter, more space-efficient alternative to traditional lead acid batteries. You also get a built-in BMS with six protections and a rating of 4000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge.
A single battery gives you 1280Wh for a smaller system. The 4 PCS option gives you four matched batteries, which BougeRV says reach 5120Wh in a 4P parallel bank. Buying them together also helps you follow BougeRV's advice to connect batteries of the same brand and specification.
Charge voltage is 14.4V to 14.6V using the CC/CV method. The recommended standard charge is 20A (0.2C), and the maximum charge current is 100A (1C). Set your solar charge controller's battery type to lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) and make sure its system voltage is 12V. If you use a charger, choose one that supports lithium or lithium iron phosphate batteries. Charge the battery to full before first use.
Fully charge each battery before connecting them, and use batteries of the same brand and specification. You can connect up to 4 in series (48V) and up to 4 in parallel (400Ah). For a series-parallel bank, connect the batteries in parallel first, then connect those parallel groups in series. After connecting in parallel, let the batteries sit for 12 to 24 hours before charging or discharging. BougeRV recommends a balancing routine every 6 months for multi-battery banks.
Maximum continuous discharge is 100A (1C), and the maximum discharge current is 330A for 2.5 seconds, so check that your inverter's draw stays within these limits. The manual includes a copper wire size table, so choose cables rated for your current. Store the battery at 75% charge and recharge it every 6 months. BougeRV advises against discharging below 10V, installing the battery upside down, or using it in high temperature, high humidity or high altitude environments.
A 12V solar charge controller (MPPT or PWM) connected to solar panels, or a charger that supports lithium iron phosphate batteries. Set the controller's battery type to LiFePO4.
Low-temperature charging protection activates at 32°F (0°C) and charging resumes when the battery returns to 35.6°F (2°C). The battery can discharge from -4°F to 167°F.
Up to 4 in series for 48V and up to 4 in parallel for 400Ah. A 4S4P bank can reach up to 20.48kWh.
After the battery rests for 2 hours with no load or charger connected, BougeRV's chart shows 13.4V at 100%, 13.15V at 50%, 12.8V at 10% and 10.4V at 0%.
BougeRV lists a 5-year warranty on this battery.
The 2 PCS, 3 PCS and 4 PCS options include two, three or four batteries.
The BougeRV 12V 100Ah Group 24 Solar LiFePO4 Battery puts 1280Wh, a six-protection BMS, low-temperature charging protection and 4000-cycle life into a 24.25 lb Group 24 case. If you'd like help sizing a battery bank or matching it to a charge controller, the Outbound Power team is happy to help.
