The BougeRV 12V 200W TOPCon Rigid Solar System Kit brings together the four main parts of a small off-grid system: a 24V 200W N-type TOPCon bifacial solar panel, a Sunflow 30A MPPT solar charge controller, a 12.8V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery with 1280Wh of energy and a 1000W 12V pure sine wave inverter.
It's built for campers, vans, cabins and sheds where you want 120VAC power from the sun for small appliances like a portable fridge, a fan, LED lights, a laptop or phone charging. You choose the mounting, fuses and cables to suit your installation, and BougeRV's list of those parts is below.
The panel has 104 N-type TOPCon 16BB cells with a solar cell efficiency of 25%, behind 3.2 mm tempered glass in an anodized aluminum alloy frame. It carries an IP68 rating, a 2400 Pa front and back load rating and Class A application rating, and measures 50.7 x 30.2 x 1.4 inches at 22.5 lb.
The 12V/24V controller accepts up to 450W of solar at 12V and up to 100V of PV input. Its manual lists MPPT tracking efficiency above 99% and charging conversion efficiency above 95%. You can set charging current from 0 to 30A, select a LiFePO4 battery profile, and monitor it on the LCD or over Bluetooth.
The BV12100 battery stores 1280Wh and is rated for 4000 cycles at 25°C, 0.2C and 100% depth of discharge. It supports 100A continuous discharge and up to 100A charging, with an IP65 rating and M8 terminals in a 10.24 x 6.61 x 8.23 inch case.
The battery stops charging at 32°F (0°C) and resumes once it warms to 35.6°F (2°C). The controller offers its own lithium low temperature charging protection when its temperature sensor is connected and the setting is turned on.
The inverter turns 12VDC into 120VAC pure sine wave power at 1000W rated output and 2000W peak for one second, with total harmonic distortion under 5%. It has two 15A AC output terminals, an 18W USB port, a wired remote and Bluetooth app control.
The controller guards against PV overvoltage, reverse connection, short circuit, night reverse charging and over-temperature. The inverter adds input over-voltage, over-discharge, output overload, short circuit, over-temperature and ground fault circuit protection.
Camper and van power. Run 120VAC devices like a laptop, a fan or a coffee maker from the battery and recharge it with solar during the day.
Cabin and shed systems. Mount the rigid panel on a bracket and keep lights and small appliances running away from the grid.
Camping essentials. BougeRV shows this kit powering a portable fridge, a camping fan, LED lights and phone charging at camp.
A base to expand. The battery supports up to four units in parallel, and the controller accepts up to 450W of solar at 12V.
A panel and controller alone only charge a battery you already own. This kit adds the 1280Wh LiFePO4 battery and a 1000W inverter, so you have stored energy and 120VAC output in one order.
The included battery is rated for 4000 cycles and 100A continuous discharge, with a built-in battery management system and low temperature charging protection. Lead-acid batteries can also be charged by this controller using its sealed, gel or flooded settings.
A flexible panel follows a curved roof. This rigid panel uses tempered glass and an aluminum frame, carries an IP68 rating and a 2400 Pa load rating, and can be bracket-mounted and angled toward the sun.
BougeRV lists these as purchased separately: solar panel mounting brackets, MC4 fuses, MC4 extension cables, an MC4 crimping tool, controller-to-battery cables, battery-to-inverter cables and a battery-to-inverter fuse or breaker. Choose each based on your system current, cable distance, panel type and installation.
Connect the battery to the controller before the solar panel, and set the controller's battery type to LiFePO4. Keep solar input below 100V Voc. The inverter has no reverse polarity protection on its input, so check polarity before connecting. BougeRV recommends a DC fuse or breaker on the inverter input, rated at 2 to 2.5 times the inverter's rated input current and placed within 150 mm of the battery. Leave at least 6 inches of clearance around the inverter.
The panel's max power voltage is 31.7V. The Sunflow 30A MPPT controller works with 12V or 24V systems and charges the 12V battery from it.
Vmp is 31.7V, Imp is 6.3A, Voc is 36.4V and Isc is 6.6A, each ±5%. Max system voltage is 1000V DC and the max series fuse rating is 15A.
Check that the battery reads 12V or more with a multimeter, then fully charge it to 13.4V or higher before use.
BougeRV lists 10 years material and workmanship and 30 years linear power output for the panel, 5 years for the battery and 18 months for the inverter.
BougeRV's inverter manual lists these accessories with the 1000W inverter: two 3 ft 2AWG battery-inverter cables, a 3.2 ft ground cable, a wrench, a 19.6 ft remote control, the product manual and replacement fuses.
The BougeRV 12V 200W TOPCon Rigid Solar System Kit pairs a 25% efficient bifacial panel and a Sunflow 30A MPPT controller with a 1280Wh LiFePO4 battery and a 1000W pure sine wave inverter. If you'd like help choosing mounting brackets, fuses and cables for your setup, the Outbound Power team is happy to help.
