The BougeRV 12V 400W ShadePower Yuma CIGS Adhesive Flexible Solar Kit is a complete 12V system built around two adhesive-backed thin-film panels. It includes two Yuma 200W CIGS flexible panels with tape, a Sunflow 40A MPPT solar charge controller, two 12.8V 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries and a 2000W 12V pure sine wave inverter.
The adhesive panels are for owners who don't want to put holes in an RV, van, trailer or boat roof. Each panel is 0.06 inches thick and bends to follow curves, so the array sits low on the surface. You add the fuses, cables and any other installation parts your system needs.
Each Yuma panel has an adhesive backing, so you can mount it to your roof without drilling. That keeps the roof surface intact and avoids running fasteners through it.
The CIGS cells sit on a 50 μm stainless steel foil with no glass, and BougeRV rates them for 360° flexibility. Each panel measures 82.2 x 26.0 x 0.06 inches and weighs 8.44 lbs.
Individual bypass diodes, 24 per panel, let shaded cells be bypassed while the rest of the panel keeps producing. BougeRV also lists more power in low light among the panel's key features.
BougeRV rates the panels, their solar connectors and junction boxes IP68 against rain, snow and dust, with 2400 Pa wind resistance and a 5400 Pa snow load. Operating temperature limits are -40°F to +185°F.
The 12V/24V controller accepts up to 600W of solar at 12V and up to 100V of PV input, with MPPT tracking efficiency above 99% and charging conversion efficiency above 95% per its manual. It works with flooded, gel, AGM, sealed and lithium batteries, and BougeRV gives its app a 33 ft remote control range.
Each 12.8V 100Ah battery stores 1280Wh, is rated for 4000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge and supports 100A continuous discharge. The 2000W inverter delivers 4000W peak for one second of 120VAC pure sine wave power with under 5% harmonic distortion.
RV and camper roofs. Stick the two panels to a curved roof and charge a 12V battery bank without drilling.
Teardrop and travel trailers. The low-profile, adhesive-mounted panels follow the curve of a trailer roof.
Boats. Mount the glass-free panels on a deck where shade from rigging is common and weight matters.
Van and overland builds. Store 400W of solar input in two LiFePO4 batteries and run 120VAC devices through the inverter.
A pre-punched panel is fastened through holes in its border. This kit's adhesive panels mount without drilling, which suits owners who want to keep their roof free of holes.
Rigid glass panels need frames and brackets and can't bend. These CIGS panels are 0.06 inches thick, have no glass and bend to fit curved surfaces, with 24 bypass diodes each for partial shade. Rigid panels can be tilted toward the sun, which may suit a flat rack.
Compared with a single 200W panel and one battery, this kit doubles the panels and the storage and uses a 40A controller with room for up to 600W of solar at 12V.
BougeRV lists these as purchased separately: solar panel mounting brackets, MC4 fuses, MC4 extension cables, an MC4 crimping tool, controller-to-battery cables, battery-to-inverter cables and a battery-to-inverter fuse or breaker. Choose each based on your system current, cable distance, panel type and installation.
Fully charge each battery to 13.4V or higher first, and after connecting them in parallel for a 12V 200Ah bank, let them rest 12 to 24 hours before charging or discharging. Connect the battery to the controller before the panels, set the battery type to LiFePO4 and keep the array within the controller's 100V input and 40A rating. The inverter input has no reverse polarity protection, and BougeRV recommends a DC fuse or breaker rated at 2 to 2.5 times the inverter's rated input current, within 150 mm of the battery.
Maximum power is 200W at 17% cell efficiency. Vmp is 24V, Imp is 8.52A, Voc is 30.4V and Isc is 9.48A, each ±5%, with a 1000V DC max system voltage.
Yes. Each battery stops charging at 32°F (0°C) and resumes at 35.6°F (2°C). The controller also offers lithium low temperature charging protection when its temperature sensor is connected and the setting is turned on.
Yes. BougeRV's battery manual allows up to four of these batteries in parallel for 400Ah. Use batteries of the same brand and specification, and fully charge each one before connecting.
BougeRV lists a 10-year warranty and a 25-year performance warranty for the panels, 5 years for the batteries and 18 months for the inverter.
BougeRV's inverter manual lists these accessories with the 2000W inverter: two 3 ft 2AWG battery-inverter cables, a 3.2 ft ground cable, a wrench, a 19.6 ft remote control, the product manual and replacement fuses.
The BougeRV 12V 400W ShadePower Yuma CIGS Adhesive Flexible Solar Kit gives you two adhesive, glass-free 200W panels, a Sunflow 40A MPPT controller, two 1280Wh LiFePO4 batteries and a 2000W pure sine wave inverter.
