The BougeRV 12V 400W TOPCon Rigid Solar Kit is a larger 12V off-grid system in one order. It includes two 24V 200W N-type TOPCon bifacial solar panels, a Sunflow 40A MPPT solar charge controller, two 12.8V 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries and a 2000W 12V pure sine wave inverter.
It suits RVs, vans, cabins and off-grid outbuildings where you want more solar input, more stored energy and more AC output than a single-panel setup. BougeRV shows it supporting a fridge, a fan, a coffee maker and lighting. You add the mounting brackets, fuses and cables for your installation.
Each panel has 104 N-type TOPCon 16BB cells at 25% solar cell efficiency, 3.2 mm tempered glass, an anodized aluminum alloy frame and an IP68 rating. Each measures 50.7 x 30.2 x 1.4 inches, weighs 22.5 lb and carries a 2400 Pa front and back load rating.
The 12V/24V controller accepts up to 600W of solar at 12V, more than the kit's 400W of panels, and up to 100V of PV input. Its manual lists MPPT tracking efficiency above 99% and charging conversion efficiency above 95%, and you can set charging current anywhere from 0 to 40A.
Each BV12100 battery is 12.8V and 100Ah, rated for 4000 cycles at 25°C, 0.2C and 100% depth of discharge, with 100A continuous discharge and an IP65 rating. Connected in parallel, two batteries form a 12V 200Ah bank, according to BougeRV's battery manual.
The inverter delivers 2000W rated and 4000W peak for one second of 120VAC pure sine wave power, with total harmonic distortion under 5%. It has a 15A and a 20A AC output terminal, an AC high power link port, an 18W USB port, a wired remote and Bluetooth app control.
Each battery stops charging at 32°F (0°C) and resumes once it warms to 35.6°F (2°C). The controller adds its own lithium low temperature charging protection when its temperature sensor is connected and the setting is on.
The controller's LCD and Bluetooth app show solar, battery and load data, and it guards against PV overvoltage, reverse connection, short circuit and over-temperature. The inverter's external display shows input and output voltage, output power and error codes, and it protects against input over-voltage, over-discharge, overload, short circuit, over-temperature and ground faults.
RV and van living. Charge a 12V 200Ah battery bank from 400W of solar and run 120VAC appliances through the 2000W inverter.
Off-grid cabins. Bracket-mount the two rigid panels and power lights, a fridge and a coffee maker.
Power for outbuildings. Store solar energy in two LiFePO4 batteries and draw AC power for lights or a fan when you need it.
Growing systems. The batteries support up to four units in parallel, so you can add capacity later.
A single 200W panel system with one battery suits light loads. This kit doubles the panels and batteries, steps up to a 40A controller and moves to a 2000W inverter, so it's aimed at larger daily use and higher-wattage AC loads.
The included batteries are rated for 4000 cycles with a built-in battery management system and low temperature charging protection. The controller also has sealed, gel and flooded settings if you ever charge lead-acid batteries with it.
Flexible panels follow curved surfaces. These rigid panels use tempered glass and aluminum frames with IP68 and 2400 Pa ratings, and they're meant for brackets that can angle them toward the sun.
BougeRV lists these as purchased separately: solar panel mounting brackets, MC4 fuses, MC4 extension cables, an MC4 crimping tool, controller-to-battery cables, battery-to-inverter cables and a battery-to-inverter fuse or breaker. Choose each based on your system current, cable distance, panel type and installation.
Fully charge each battery before connecting them, and after a parallel connection let them sit 12 to 24 hours before charging or discharging. Connect the battery to the controller before the panels, set the battery type to LiFePO4, and keep the array's input under 100V Voc. The inverter input has no reverse polarity protection, and BougeRV recommends a DC fuse or breaker rated at 2 to 2.5 times the inverter's rated input current, within 150 mm of the battery.
The inverter's output must exceed the maximum power of what you plug in. Appliances with high starting power, such as motors and air conditioners, need extra margin above the inverter's rating.
Vmp is 31.7V, Imp is 6.3A, Voc is 36.4V and Isc is 6.6A, each ±5%, with a 1000V DC max system voltage and a 15A max series fuse rating.
Yes. The Sunflow 40A accepts up to 600W at 12V or 1200W at 24V, with a 100V maximum PV input voltage. Keep your panel wiring within those limits and the 40A rating.
Check that each reads 12V or more with a multimeter, then charge each to 13.4V or higher before use.
BougeRV lists 10 years material and workmanship and 30 years linear power output for the panels, 5 years for the batteries and 18 months for the inverter.
BougeRV's inverter manual lists these accessories with the 2000W inverter: two 3 ft 2AWG battery-inverter cables, a 3.2 ft ground cable, a wrench, a 19.6 ft remote control, the product manual and replacement fuses.
The BougeRV 12V 400W TOPCon Rigid Solar Kit combines two 25% efficient bifacial panels, a Sunflow 40A MPPT controller, two 1280Wh LiFePO4 batteries and a 2000W pure sine wave inverter for a larger 12V system. If you'd like help choosing brackets, fuses and cables or planning the wiring, the Outbound Power team is happy to help.
