The BougeRV 16BB 24V N-Type 200W Bifacial Solar Panel and 40A MPPT Solar Controller Kit combines one 200W N-type TOPCon bifacial panel with a BougeRV Sunflow 40A MPPT solar charge controller. The panel collects light on both its front and rear faces, and the controller charges 12V or 24V batteries, including LiFePO4.

It's a starting point for an RV, van, cabin or off-grid shed system where you want rigid glass panels and room to grow. The controller accepts up to 600W of solar at 12V or 1200W at 24V, so you can add panels later within its limits. You supply the battery, wiring and mounting.

Bifacial Panel Uses Light From Both Sides

A bifacial panel captures sunlight on the front and the rear, using direct, reflected and diffuse light to raise overall energy production. BougeRV lists a maximum bifacial gain of 80% for this N-type panel, and suggests a tilt mount bracket so the rear side can collect light.

The controller guards against PV overvoltage, PV reverse connection and short circuit, night reverse charging, over-temperature, load short circuit and overload, and battery over-voltage, over-discharge and reverse connection. The panel is rated for 2400 Pa front and back static loads and has IP67 connectors.

Buyer Guidance

Wiring Order and Limits

Connect the battery to the controller first, then the solar panel; never connect the panel without a battery. Keep the solar array's input below 100V Voc to prevent permanent damage, and make sure the panels' output current doesn't exceed the controller's rated charging current. The controller has a 20A rated load current and an IP34 rating, so keep it away from water.

Handling the Panel

Don't stand on the panel or let objects fall on it, and don't install or handle it when it's wet or during high wind. Keep drain holes clear, and protect unconnected connectors from dust and moisture.
