The BougeRV CRH20 is a compact compressor fridge with a 21 quart (20 L) interior and a temperature range of -4°F to 68°F (-20°C to 20°C). Use it as a fridge for drinks and snacks or as a freezer for frozen food, with no ice to buy or drain.
It's sized for a rear footwell, seat area or trunk, and its one-hand grab handle makes it easy to carry from the car to a campsite, beach or picnic table. It runs on 12V or 24V DC and on 100-240V AC with the included adapter. A battery compartment in the side takes BougeRV's 240Wh battery, which comes with the Fridge + Battery package.
A sturdy handle lifts up for carrying and folds down to the side when the fridge is parked. At 22.58 lb and 18.9 x 13.46 x 18.27 in, the CRH20 is easy to move between your car, your campsite and your kitchen.
Set the temperature anywhere from -4°F to 68°F in steps of 1°. The fridge saves your setting after 3 seconds and then shows the actual temperature inside. MAX mode runs the compressor at high speed for fast cooling, and ECO mode uses less power. BougeRV lists the CRH20 at 45W in MAX and 36W in ECO, with a rated power input of 60W.
The 240Wh battery slides into a compartment in the side of the fridge and connects to the fridge through spring-loaded pins inside the compartment. It can be charged through the fridge's AC adapter or car charger, from solar panels at 11-32V up to 150W, by USB-C up to 100W or from your car through its XT-60 input. It also has a USB-C port (up to 100W) and a USB-A port (up to 18W) for charging small devices.
Use the BougeRV app to check and change the temperature while you relax at camp. The control panel shows app connection, cooling status, MAX or ECO mode, battery protection level, battery level, error codes and °C or °F. The display dims after 3 minutes without a button press, and a short press of the power button dims it right away.
BougeRV rates the noise at ≤45dB, and states that in ECO mode the running noise can stay at or below 35dB under its test conditions. That suits overnight use near your tent or in your vehicle.
The IPX4-rated housing handles splashes around camp. It is not made for immersion, and the manual says not to leave it in the rain or soak it in water.
The fridge shuts off when the supply voltage falls below the level you set, so it won't drain your vehicle battery. On 12V, High cuts out at 11.1V, Medium at 10.1V and Low at 9.6V. The factory setting is Medium.
Road trips. Keep drinks and meals cold in the car without packing ice. The CRH20 fits in a trunk or passenger area.
Beach days. Carry cold drinks and fresh snacks from the car to the water with one hand.
Camping. With the 240Wh battery installed, run the fridge at your site and recharge the battery from solar panels.
Grocery runs. Keep fresh and frozen groceries cold on the drive from the store to home.
An ice cooler loses cooling as the ice melts and takes up space with ice. The CRH20 holds the temperature you set, can freeze, and keeps food dry.
The Fridge Only package runs from 12V or 24V vehicle power or a wall outlet, and you can add a battery later. The Fridge + Battery package includes the 240Wh battery, which fits inside the fridge's battery compartment and lets you run it away from the vehicle.
BougeRV positions the 21 quart CRH20 for 1-3 day trips. It's built to tuck into a footwell, seat or trunk, so think about how much food you carry on your usual trip before you choose this size.
Let the fridge stand for 12 hours after unpacking before you start it, and keep it level while it runs. Leave about 200 mm (7.9 in) behind it and 100 mm (3.9 in) at the sides for airflow. BougeRV advises disconnecting or switching off the fridge when you turn off the engine, since it could otherwise drain your car's battery.

Keep it as level as you can. The tilt should be under 5° for long running and under 45° for short periods.
