The BougeRV Rocky V3.0 69QT is a heavy-duty dual zone compressor fridge with a metal exterior built for overlanding and extended off-grid use. It holds 69 quarts (65 L), and a removable partition splits the interior into two compartments with independent temperature control. Each one sets from -4°F to 68°F (-20°C to 20°C), so you can run a fridge, a freezer or both at once.
It's sized for multi-day trips, group travel and full-time RV living, when you want to pack more and resupply less often. The Rocky runs on 12V or 24V DC, on 100-240V AC with the included adapter, and on BougeRV's 240Wh detachable battery in its dedicated battery compartment. Choose Fridge with Battery, Fridge Only (battery not included), or the 100W or 200W Solar-Powered Fridge Kit.
With the partition in place, the left box holds 26 L and the right box holds 35 L, and each has its own temperature. Take the partition out and you get one 65 L space. To set the zones, use the plus and minus keys for the left side, then press the settings key once to switch to the right side.
The Rocky is built from metal and plastic, with a heavy-duty metal exterior BougeRV designed for demanding overlanding conditions. It has a door latch, a sealing strip around the lid and carry handles.
The 240Wh battery (15000mAh, 16V) slides into a compartment in the side of the fridge. Press both sides of the battery to remove or insert it, and handle it with care since it's heavy. In the fridge you can recharge it from the AC adapter or car charger at up to 90W, from solar at 11-32V and 10A up to 150W, by USB-C at up to 100W, or from your car through the XT-60i port at up to 100W.
BougeRV states the high-efficiency DC compressor cools quickly to -4°F, based on a 77°F room temperature. MAX mode runs at high speed for fast cooling, and ECO mode saves power. The manual rates the Rocky at 80W in MAX and 64W in ECO.
The fridge shuts off before it drains your vehicle battery. On 12V, High cuts out at 11.1V, Medium at 10.1V and Low at 9.6V, and it's factory set to Medium. The level can only be changed in the BougeRV app, and the control panel shows when the app is connected.
You can change the door's opening direction to suit how the fridge sits in your vehicle. Remove the door at a 90° angle, turn it around and refit it on the other side.
Overlanding. Keep a freezer and a fridge running in the back of your rig, powered by the vehicle or the detachable battery.
Group travel. Pack food and drinks for several people for a multi-day trip.
Full-time RV living. Add 65 L of extra cold storage to your RV or camper.
Off-grid camping. Pair the 240Wh battery with a solar kit to recharge at camp.
An ice cooler can't freeze and needs fresh ice as it melts. The Rocky keeps two set temperatures, freezes as well as chills, and keeps food dry.
Fridge Only runs from 12V or 24V DC or an AC outlet, and the battery is not included. Fridge with Battery adds the 240Wh detachable battery so the fridge can run away from vehicle and wall power.
The 100W and 200W Solar-Powered Fridge Kits add a folding solar panel to the fridge and 240Wh battery. The battery's solar input accepts up to 150W.
The Rocky V3.0 69QT measures 28.74 x 17.72 x 21.69 in, so check your cargo space before you buy. After unpacking, let it stand for 12 hours before you start it. Keep it level, under 5° of tilt for long running, and leave about 200 mm (7.9 in) behind it and 100 mm (3.9 in) at the sides for ventilation.
BougeRV advises disconnecting or switching off the fridge when you turn off the engine, since it could otherwise drain your battery. Set the battery protection level in the app to suit your setup.
With the partition in, the left box is 26 L and the right box is 35 L. Without it, the whole interior is 65 L.
The 240Wh battery comes with the Fridge with Battery package and both Solar-Powered Fridge Kits. Fridge Only does not include it.
