The BougeRV Rocky V3.0 81QT is a heavy-duty dual zone compressor fridge with a metal outer shell and 81 quarts (77 L) of storage. A removable divider creates two zones with independent temperature control, each from -4°F to 68°F (-20°C to 20°C), so each side can work as a fridge or a freezer. BougeRV shows it holding 108 cans of 355 ml cola.
It's built for extended overlanding trips, large groups and full-time RV living, when you want to pack more and stay out longer between resupply stops. The Rocky runs on 12V or 24V DC, on 100-240V AC with the included adapter, and on BougeRV's B240 detachable battery in its dedicated battery compartment. Choose Fridge Only, Fridge with Battery, or the 100W or 200W Solar-Powered Fridge Kit.
With the divider in, the left box holds 30 L and the right box holds 43 L. BougeRV shows four setups: fridge and freezer, freezer and fridge, freezer in both zones, or fridge in both zones. Take the divider out when you want one 77 L space.
A 5.7cc compressor drives the cooling, and BougeRV's manual states it cools to -4°F based on a 77°F room temperature. Use MAX mode for faster cooling and ECO mode to save energy. The manual rates the Rocky at 80W in MAX and 64W in ECO.
The B240 detachable battery (240Wh, 15000mAh, 16V) slides into a compartment at the side; press both sides to insert or remove it, and lift it with care since it's heavy. BougeRV rates the 81QT at up to 14 hours on this battery, tested with no load, no pre-cooling, 77°F ambient and a 32°F target in ECO mode. While it's installed, you can charge it from the fridge's AC adapter or car charger at up to 90W, from solar at 11-32V and 10A up to 150W, by USB-C at up to 100W, or from your car through the XT-60i port at up to 100W.
The cabinet combines a metal outer shell, a foam layer and an inner refrigerator wall to help keep food fresh. The heavy-duty metal design is made for demanding outdoor use.
Use the BougeRV app to adjust temperatures and set the battery protection level, which can only be changed in the app. Three levels shut the fridge off before your vehicle battery runs too low. On 12V, High cuts out at 11.1V, Medium at 10.1V and Low at 9.6V, with Medium set at the factory.
Change the door's opening direction by removing it at a 90° angle and refitting it from the other side. Four removable baskets help organize a full load, and a drain hole with a plug lets you drain water when you defrost.
Extended overlanding. Fill a freezer and a fridge for a long trip and resupply less often.
Large groups. Carry food and drinks for a crowd at camp, with frozen food on one side and drinks on the other.
Full-time RV living. Add 77 L of cold storage to your RV, camper or trailer.
Off-grid camps. Run the fridge on the 240Wh battery and recharge the battery from a solar panel.
An ice cooler needs fresh ice and can't keep a freezer temperature. The Rocky holds two set temperatures and leaves its full interior free for food.
Fridge Only runs from DC vehicle power or an AC outlet, with no battery included. Fridge with Battery adds the 240Wh detachable battery so you can keep cooling away from the vehicle.
The 100W and 200W Solar-Powered Fridge Kits add a folding solar panel to the fridge and 240Wh battery. The battery's solar input accepts up to 150W.
The Rocky V3.0 81QT measures 28.74 x 17.72 x 24.65 in and weighs 67.46 lb, so measure your cargo area before you choose it. After unpacking, let it stand for 12 hours before starting it. Keep it level, under 5° of tilt for long running, and leave about 200 mm (7.9 in) behind and 100 mm (3.9 in) at the sides for ventilation.
BougeRV advises disconnecting or switching off the fridge when you turn off your engine, since it could otherwise drain the battery.
Up to 14 hours on the 240Wh battery, based on BougeRV's test with no load, no pre-cooling, 77°F ambient and a 32°F target in ECO mode.
With the divider in, the left zone is 30 L and the right zone is 43 L. Without it, you have 77 L in one space.
