The BougeRV Yuma 100W CIGS Thin-Film Flexible Solar Panel with Pre-Punched Holes Compact Version is a 100W panel built on CIGS (copper indium gallium selenide) thin-film cells. It measures 43.1 x 27.1 x 0.06 inches, weighs 3.24 lbs and has mounting holes punched through its border, so you can fasten it to a surface instead of gluing it down.
The compact, nearly square shape suits RV roofs, boat decks, trucks, tents and campsites where a long panel won't fit. With no glass and no frame, it bends to follow curves and can be rolled up to travel as a portable panel. It's available as a single panel or in packs of 2, 3 and 4.
BougeRV's borehole design lets you fasten the panel securely wherever you want it. The panel's border has holes at each corner and at the middle of each long edge, and BougeRV's drawing lists the hole diameter as 0.2 inches (5 mm).
CIGS is a thin-film technology that uses semiconductor layers to turn sunlight into electricity. BougeRV says the cells bend up to 360° and won't crack the way rigid crystalline cells can, and there's no glass to break.
Multiple bypass diodes help the panel minimize power loss under partial shade, and BougeRV's manual says output stays stable in shaded conditions. That helps on boats and vehicles, where partial shade is common.
At 0.06 inches thick and 3.24 lbs (1.47 kg), the panel needs no aluminum frame, stand or mounting bracket. Its low profile improves aerodynamics on a vehicle and keeps weight down on boat canopies and bimini tops.
The panel can be rolled up for compact storage and transport, then laid out at camp to charge a power station. Always roll it solar side out, because rolling it solar side in will damage the panel and affect performance.
Operating temperature limits are -40°F to +185°F (-40°C to +85°C). The temperature coefficient of Pmax is -0.38%/°C.
RV and camper roofs. Fasten the panel to a roof area that suits a compact 43.1 x 27.1 inch footprint.
Boats. Mount it on a deck or canopy where you'd rather fasten than glue, and where light weight matters.
Trucks and tents. BougeRV lists trucks and tents among the surfaces the panel can be installed on.
Portable camp power. Roll it up for the drive, then set it out at camp and connect it to a power station with an MC4 cable.
BougeRV's manual compares CIGS thin-film with rigid crystalline panels. Rigid panels can't bend, need racking, can shatter and add weight to a roof. The Yuma panel bends to fit curved surfaces, has no glass and needs no frame. A rigid panel can be tilted toward the sun on a bracket, so it may suit a flat rack or ground mount.
An adhesive-backed flexible panel is a permanent, hole-free installation. This compact version has no adhesive backing; it's made to be fastened through its holes. Choose it when you want a mechanical attachment you can plan around your surface.
A single panel adds 100W. The packs give you matching panels that can be wired in series to raise voltage or in parallel, with a solar parallel connector, to raise current.
The solar cell efficiency is 17%, so check your space against the 43.1 x 27.1 inch footprint. BougeRV gives a maximum bend diameter of 9.4 inches, and the margins on both sides are about 1 mm. The 33.5 inch (850 mm) 12AWG leads leave from one short edge. BougeRV doesn't specify fasteners, so choose hardware suited to your surface.
BougeRV lists a solar power station, a lead-acid battery or a lithium battery. Batteries need a solar charge controller; a power station doesn't. Any cable with MC4 connectors can connect to the panel. The series fuse rating is 10A, and the manual puts PWM controller conversion efficiency at 75% and MPPT above 90%.
Maximum power is 100W. Vmp is 24V, Imp is 4.21A, Voc is 30.5V and Isc is 4.71A, each ±5%. The maximum system voltage is 1000V DC.
BougeRV says this panel can be bent to a maximum diameter of 9.4 inches.
You can connect multiple panels depending on your power needs. Keep the total within your charge controller's or power station's input voltage and current.
No. This version is made to be fastened through its pre-punched holes, and BougeRV's photo of the back shows a plain backsheet.
BougeRV lists a 10-year warranty and a 25-year performance warranty.
The 2 PCS, 3 PCS and 4 PCS options include that number of panels.
The BougeRV Yuma 100W CIGS Thin-Film Flexible Solar Panel with Pre-Punched Holes Compact Version combines glass-free CIGS cells, bypass diodes and a 3.24 lb frameless build with holes ready for fastening.
