The EcoFlow Home Backup Transfer Switch is a pre-wired manual transfer switch that connects an EcoFlow power station to selected circuits in your home, so your critical circuits keep running when a blackout hits. Back Up Only the Circuits You Choose

Each circuit wired through the switch has a selector switch with LINE (utility), GEN and OFF positions. During an outage, move the circuits you need to GEN and leave the rest alone. The double-throw switches keep backup power from feeding into the utility lines, and utility power from feeding back into your backup source.

Wattmeters Show Your Load

On the A510A, analog wattmeters show the total load in watts on each side while the backup source is supplying power. That helps you spread larger loads and stay within what your power stations can deliver. Very small loads may not register on the meters.

A510A Handles Up to 12500W Across 10 Circuits

The A510A takes up to 10 single-pole circuits or 5 double-pole and multi-wire circuits, with a maximum of 12500 watts. Combined load limits are 100A at 125VAC and 50A at 250VAC. Positions A and B accept 30A breakers, and all other positions take breakers up to 20A.

240V Circuits With Handle Ties

Any two adjacent selector switches can serve a double-pole 240V circuit when joined with a handle tie. The A510A comes with 2 handle ties, and they can be removed if you have no 240V or multi-wire circuits.

Pre-Wired With a Metal Indoor Cabinet

EcoFlow says the switch comes completely pre-wired for easier installation, in a metal cabinet designed for indoor use. It is cULus 1008 listed. On the A510A, 18 in of 1 in flexible conduit carries the wires into your breaker panel.

306A1 Kit for a Single DELTA Max

The 306A1 option pairs the transfer switch with one DELTA Max and adds a 5-20P to L5-30R generator adapter cord to the kit.

Real-World Applications

Refrigerator and freezer. Wire the refrigerator circuit through the switch so it can run from your power station during an outage.

Heating and pumps. Add circuits such as a furnace blower or a sump pump, within the limits of your power station and the switch.

Two-unit backup. Pair the A510A with two DELTA Pro 3 or two DELTA Pro Ultra units for 125/250V service to your chosen circuits.

240V loads. Use two handle-tied switches on the A510A for a double-pole 240V circuit.

How It Compares to Common Alternatives

Versus extension cords. Extension cords reach only plug-in devices. A transfer switch powers the circuits wired through it from your breaker panel, including ones without a plug.

Is This Transfer Switch the Right Fit

• Professional installation. A qualified electrician must install it, following the installation and operating instructions and all applicable electrical codes.
• Indoor panels only. It works only with indoor circuit breaker panels.
• Manual switching. You move each circuit's selector switch by hand when you change power sources.
• Match your power station. The 306A1 kit is for one DELTA Max. The A510A is for two DELTA Pro 3 or two DELTA Pro Ultra units.
• AFCI and GFCI circuits. On branch circuits with AFCI or GFCI breakers, that protection is lost in the GEN position unless matching AFCI or GFCI breakers are installed in the transfer switch.

Common Questions

Does It Switch Over Automatically?

No. It is a manual transfer switch. During an outage, connect your backup source and move the circuits you want to power to GEN. When utility power returns, move them back to LINE.

Do I Need to Turn Off Circuits in My Panel Before Switching?

No. You don't need to turn off any circuits in the breaker panel when you supply backup power through the transfer switch. The double-throw switches keep the two sources apart.

Which Breakers Can I Use in the A510A?

It ships with a combination of 15A and 20A breakers, and positions A and B can take 30A breakers. A transfer switch breaker should not be rated higher than the matching branch breaker in your panel.
