Generac lists it for 13 kW models 7173, 7174, and 7175 and 16 kW models 7176, 7177, and 7178 made from 2013 on. Generac's Next-Gen spec sheets also name the 7216 for the Next-Gen 14, 18, 22, 24, 26, and 28 kW units.
The Generac 7216 kit has an air filter, an oil filter, and two spark plugs in one box. Generac matches it to the two-cylinder air-cooled engines on the units it lists, so you are not matching parts one at a time.
Every unit on the fit list has a two-cylinder engine, and the kit includes two spark plugs. Replace both along with the filters in one visit.
The kit also includes an oil funnel, a chamois, and a reminder sticker. The funnel keeps the oil fill clean, the chamois wipes up drips, and the sticker helps you keep track of when the next service is due.
Next-Gen Home Standby Service. You own a Next-Gen 14 kW to 28 kW generator, models 7258, 7259, 7260, 7261, 7327, or 7282. This is the maintenance kit Generac names on the spec sheet for those units.
13kW and 16kW Unit Service. Your 13 kW or 16 kW generator, models 7173 to 7178, has reached its interval. This kit supplies the air filter, oil filter, and plugs.
One Kit for Several Generators. Because six Next-Gen sizes and two earlier sizes share this kit, a property manager or installer can stock one part number for many units.
Versus Kits for Older Units. Generac lists this kit for 13 kW and 16 kW units made from 2013 on. Older units and other earlier sizes use different kits, so match your model number first.
Versus the Next-Gen 10kW Kit. The Next-Gen 10 kW has a one-cylinder engine and uses Generac kit 6482 instead. The 7216 is for the 14 kW to 28 kW Next-Gen units.
