Generac's 2020 table also lists 16 kW models, the 15 kW EcoGen model 7163, and several 10, 13, and 20 kVA units. Generac does not list a 26 kW model for this kit. All listed units were made from 2013 to the present.
The Generac 6485 kit has an air filter, an oil filter, and two spark plugs in one box. Generac builds it for 20, 22, and 24 kW units plus 16 kW, 15 kW EcoGen, and kVA models with a 999cc engine, so you are not matching parts one at a time.
The kit includes two spark plugs for the 999cc engine. Replace them with the filters in one service.
The kit also includes an oil funnel, a chamois, and a reminder sticker. The funnel keeps the oil fill clean, the chamois wipes up drips, and the sticker helps you keep track of when the next service is due.
20kW to 24kW Whole-House Units. Your 20, 22, or 24 kW generator has a 999cc engine. Service it every 200 hours or 2 years with a kit made for that engine.
16kW and EcoGen Owners. If you own a 16 kW model such as 7035, 7036, 7037, or 7141, or the 15 kW EcoGen 7163, you will find your model on this kit's list.
kVA Models. Generac lists 10, 13, and 20 kVA units for the 6485, so owners of those international models have a matching kit too.
Versus Kits for Older Units. Generac lists this kit for units made from 2013 on and says to contact a dealer for older models. Its list runs from 15 kW to 24 kW plus kVA models.
