The Renogy 12V 100Ah Core Series Trolling Motor Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery with Bluetooth is a 12.8V, 100Ah LiFePO4 battery rated for 1280Wh. It supports 12V to 36V trolling motors, discharges up to 150A continuously and has built-in Bluetooth 5.3 for monitoring in the Renogy app.
It's made for anglers who want a lighter, compact battery in a Group 24 size. Renogy says it weighs half as much as a lead-acid battery. It also suits RVs, workshops and off-road systems, and you can link several batteries in series or parallel to reach 24V, 36V or 48V or add capacity.
The maximum continuous discharge current is 150A, which Renogy lists as up to 1920W. The peak discharge current is 300A for 30 seconds. A 150A BMS and UL-listed cells sit behind those ratings.
Built-in Bluetooth 5.3 connects the battery to the Renogy app. Renogy says the app shows a system overview, fault alerts, battery status and real-time power tracking, so you can check the battery without opening a compartment.
The battery stops charging at or below 32°F (0°C) and resumes at or above 41°F (5°C). It stops discharging at or below -4°F (-20°C). Renogy lists a charge temperature range of 32°F to 131°F (0°C to 55°C) and a discharge range of -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to 55°C).
The battery has an IP67 protection rating, and Renogy describes its protection as marine-grade. Mount it where the terminals stay clear of standing water.
The battery measures 10.24 x 6.61 x 8.23 in (260 x 168 x 209 mm) and weighs 21.83 lb (9.9 kg). Renogy says that is about one-third smaller than a Group 31 battery.
You can connect up to 4 batteries in series, up to 4 in parallel, or up to 16 in a series-parallel bank, for up to 20.48kWh. Use batteries of the same model and similar capacity.
Trolling motors. Renogy's guidance is one battery for a 30-55 lb motor, two in series (24V) for a 70-90 lb motor and three in series (36V) for a 112-115 lb motor. Renogy says the battery is compatible with major trolling motor brands.
Boats of different types. Renogy's product graphics show it for jon boats, center console boats and bass boats. The Group 24 footprint helps where space for gear is tight.
RVs, workshops and off-road systems. Renogy also lists these as uses, and the series and parallel options let you size a 12V, 24V, 36V or 48V bank.
Renogy says this battery weighs half as much as a lead-acid battery and is rated for 5000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge. It also has built-in Bluetooth monitoring and a BMS that protects it automatically.
One battery gives 12V and 100Ah for lighter motors. The 2.4 kWh and 4.8 kWh options hold two and four batteries. Wire them in series for higher voltage, in parallel for more capacity, or in both for a larger bank.
Start with your motor's voltage and thrust rating, then use Renogy's pairing guidance above. Check your motor's current draw against the 150A continuous rating. Cables, fuses and connectors aren't included, so size them for your setup.
Charge with a solar charge controller, DC-DC charger or AC-DC charger that is compatible with lithium iron phosphate. Leave 1.97-3.94 in (5-10 cm) above the battery and at least 7.87 in (20 cm) on the busbar side.
Yes. Renogy says Core Series 12V batteries can be connected in series for 24V, 36V or 48V systems. Use the same model.
Up to 4 in series, 4 in parallel or 16 in series-parallel, for up to 20.48kWh.
Yes, with a solar charge controller suited to your panels' output. Renogy says never to connect panels directly to the battery.
Yes. Bluetooth 5.3 is built in, and you monitor the battery in the Renogy app.
The 1.2 kWh option is one battery. The 2.4 kWh option is two batteries and the 4.8 kWh option is four batteries.
The Renogy 12V 100Ah Core Series Trolling Motor Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery with Bluetooth combines 150A continuous discharge, Bluetooth 5.3 and low-temperature cut-off in a Group 24 case. If you'd like help choosing how many batteries your motor needs, the Outbound Power team is happy to help.
