Red Renogy battery switch with a rotary knob marked OFF and ON, seen from the front on a white background

The Renogy 350A Battery Switch Turns a Single Battery On or Off for One Load Group

The Renogy 350A Battery Switch is a single-circuit ON and OFF switch for one battery and one load group. It has a continuous rating of 350A, a maximum of 48V DC and meets the ABYC requirement, according to Renogy.

It is for boats, RVs, campers, trucks and other vehicles where you want a quick, clear way to disconnect a battery. A large red knob marks the ON and OFF positions.

Renogy 350A Battery Switch Features

Single Battery, Single Load Group

Renogy describes the switch as a single-circuit design that turns one battery on or off for a specific load group. Turn the knob to OFF when you want that circuit disconnected.

350A Continuous Rating

The switch carries 350A continuously at up to 48V DC. The label on the switch also lists 600A for 5 minutes and 1200A for 30 seconds.

3/8 in Studs for Large Cable

The terminal studs are 3/8 in-16 (M10) and accept battery cables up to 4/0 AWG. The back of the switch marks the input and output studs.

Surface or Rear Panel Mounting

Four mounting holes take 1/4 in screws, and Renogy shows four mounting screws for quick installation. Renogy's drawing also shows a 3.6 in (91.44 mm) rear panel mount hole.

Real-World Applications

Boats and yachts. Renogy lists ships and yachts, and shows a sailboat.

RVs, campers and vans. Cut power to a house battery when the vehicle is stored.

Trucks, ATVs and UTVs. Renogy lists trucks, ATVs and UTVs as uses.

Practical Comparison

Battery Switch Versus Pulling a Battery Cable

A switch gives you a fixed ON and OFF position at the turn of a knob. Removing a cable by hand takes tools and time.

Single Battery Switch Versus a Multi-Battery Switch

This is a single-circuit switch for one battery and one load group. It does not select between batteries, so choose a different type of switch if you need that.

Buyer Guidance

Match Cable and Voltage

Use cable up to 4/0 AWG on the 3/8 in studs, and stay within 48V DC. The label on the switch says to stop the engine before switching to OFF.

This May Be A Good Fit If

  • You want a single ON and OFF switch for one battery
  • Your system runs at 48V DC or below
  • You use cable up to 4/0 AWG
  • You are fitting a boat, RV, truck or ATV
