The Renogy 400W Portable Solar Suitcase is a high-output, foldable solar panel for RVs, overlanding, off-grid camps and emergency backup. It unfolds to 111.8 inches long, folds down to 27.9 x 33.7 x 3.2 inches and weighs just 30.2 lbs, far less than a set of rigid 400W panels. In good sun it can produce up to about 2,000Wh per day, with 1,600 to 1,800Wh typical in real-world conditions.
Fiberglass reinforcement and an ETFE surface make the panel strong and weather resistant, with IP67 or better protection and IP68 solar connectors. Aluminum kickstands set it at the right angle to the sun. Choose one panel, two panels, or one panel with a Renogy Rover Li 40A MPPT charge controller for a ready-to-connect charging kit.
Few portable panels reach 400W. This one delivers enough power to recharge a large lithium battery bank or power station in a single sunny day.
At 30.2 lbs, the suitcase is easy for one person to carry and stores flat behind a seat, in a basement compartment or in a truck bed.
Fiberglass reinforcement adds stiffness while keeping weight down, and an ETFE coating improves light transmission and resists weather and abrasion.
The panel resists dust and temporary immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, so rain, snow and humidity will not stop it.

The kit option adds a Renogy Rover Li 40A MPPT controller, which auto-detects 12V or 24V batteries and handles up to 520W at 12V or 1,040W at 24V.
