The Renogy BT-1 Bluetooth Module Lets You Monitor and Adjust a Compatible Charge Controller From Your Phone
The Renogy BT-1 Bluetooth Module plugs into the RJ12 port on a compatible Renogy solar charge controller. It sends the controller's data to the Renogy DC Home app on your smartphone, so you can check your system and change settings without standing at the controller.
It is for anyone with a Renogy controller that has an RJ12 port and RS232 communication. Renogy says this updated model has a signal range of up to 82 ft (25 m) and a second LED to show when your devices have synced.

Wireless Monitoring and Control
Use Bluetooth to monitor system data and change parameters on a compatible controller through the Renogy DC Home app. The app shows your controller's general parameters under "my devices."
Powered Through the Controller
The module draws power directly from the controller's RJ12 communication port, so it needs no battery or separate power source. A 16.4 ft (5 m) cable connects the module to the controller, and mounting holes let you fix it in place.
Bluetooth 4.2 and BLE
Renogy says Bluetooth 4.2 and BLE technology provides fast and uninterrupted communication, with an embedded Bluetooth chip that has low energy consumption. Standby draw is 0.04W and operating draw is 0.05W.
Two Status LEDs
A green power LED shows when the module is on. A blue link LED flashes while it is communicating, so you can see the connection status at a glance.
Real-World Applications
